After months of avoiding this place because I felt that a local merchant was forced out due to your presence, I eventually relented and started to come in now and then. People were wonderfully polite, and they had the things we all wanted. However, this week my visit was not fun, not good at all. The person checking me out was surly, confrontational, and argumentative. He chastised me for not taking the circuitous route mapped out to avoid chaos during a busy period - even though there were only two customers in the entire store -- that's the same number of checkers standing idle at the checkout counters. He deliberately contradicted anything I said to try to appease him, and he ended by denigrating my family and the amount of time we have had property in McCall (almost 100 years). Natural grocers in McCall is a favorite place to shop because I know they’re always working extra behind the scenes to keep safe and healthy choices. The employees are trained well and are meeting their challenges and making the effort to be helpful. It feels very much like a team effort. Recently, I was on a limited lunch break, next in line, when the cashier was unexpectedly whisked away. Shortly, two other associates were attentive enough to step up to assist me. We LOVE having this natural grocers here in town. We shop here 2-3 times per week and have always had get customer service. However I witnessed who I persume to be a manager, be extremely rude to an employee in front of us and it was super inappropriate.
