If you’re planning a chill couples trip, solo escape, or winter getaway, save this spot. The Scandia Inn is a beautiful, well cared for gem in the middle of McCall. We sort of felt nervous rolling the dice on something that had no recent reviews with photos and the website made it seem too good to be true. Upon arrival, It took about two seconds to realize that this is not the Scandia Inn of the old days. This Scandia Inn of today has been completely remodeled into a beautiful and modern clean getaway. You can tell that the new owners have really put a lot of thought into the design, feel and experience you’ll receive while you’re a Scandia guest. We were in room 117, the cozy king. Cozy is a great way to put it however it wasn’t cramped. They used the space well and we were able to navigate about the room without getting in each other’s way. The air purification system was wonderful, the tv’s are modern and have all the channels we could ever want and the beds comfortable with plug ins to charge your devices. This is a great sized room for two people - no more than that. There are just a few small kinks we noticed specific to our room #117. 1. A bedside lamp would be so nice. We hate ceiling lights at night so some soft light before bed is preferred. 2. The shower didn’t have anywhere for us to put our soaps and shampoos so we had to bend over and grab them from the floor. 3. An extra hook or two to hang up towels in the bathroom. Overall this was a wonderful three night stay in McCall! We can’t wait to return.

What a lovely abode! Our room was neat as a pin and still so cozy! The bed was perfectly comfortable, and the linens were cool and soft. The pillows were adorned with chocolate truffles. The TV is massive. Basic amenities were coffee service, free bottled water, and a fridge. The long, wooden table and coffee tray really bring the warm nature of it all together. There are just enough outlets for 2? While it was warm and dry on our visit, I appreciated their many towels/brushes/trays, etc for outdoor folks w muddy/snowy boots. The HVAC is perfect. The bathroom is nice. Face wipes are a nice touch. Black towels for makeup removal - A+ move. Great water pressure and heat. Provided products were nice. Curtains are nicely fitted and despite being so close to the road, there is no noise from there, or other rooms. We also enjoyed the fried chicken down the road...on the coffee platter.... Thanks, everyone :)

We take a fall trip every year. Usually we stay at Holiday Inn, Fairfield Inn, comfort Inns. Once before we passed through MCall and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. One time we stayed in Capitol Reef at an adorable Motel that looked exactly like Scandia Inn, it was delightful. This year I decided to explore the options a bit more. We've experienced cabin and barn accommodations, amazing experiences. I had no idea there were so many "other" options. So when our trip took us through McCall once again I booked the Scandia Inn by the reviews and pictures it looked delightful. When we arrived around 4:00 in the afternoon. We were told that they did not have a room for us but we could stay across the street in the owners new building that he was slowly renovating... she took us across the street. A room with Beds on the floor outside furniture and bathroom that had toilet paper stuffed into the cracks behind the toilet to keep out the ants. She gave us the option to stay here or she would "try" and get a room someplace else. I checked quickly with Holiday Inn and Third street, no availability. Well really no options, right. They did give us a discount $40 off our overall stay. If we wouldn't have just driven over 275 miles on a motorcycle to get to our destination for the day we may have continued on... I can't really give an honest opinion if the Scandia was decent or not but we were certainly treated unfairly and 5 other customers checked...

I wouldn't trust this hotel with your debit or credit card. I had a reservation and stayed for 1 night at a rate of $159.00. When I departed the next day I called and accidentally found it they charged the credit card almost $500.00. They didn't tell me they put additional charges on there. They have a 10:30 am check out. The water is barely warm. They think they can charge people for every little thing. They charged me 2 days, 2 $150.00 because my service animal briefly barked. They don't give courtesy early check in or check outs. They don't tell you they are charging more to your card. They don't give you a receipt. They don't tell you when you make your reservation of additional fees. The floors are hardwood so when it's cold is very uncomfortable. There isn't a closet or dressers. I'll never stay here again. There isn't a refrigerator, no tissue, no air conditioner. They discriminate against people with disabilities. When I get done I hope the A D A fines them in illegally penalizing for a service animal. Don't stay at this hotel. The single rooms you can barely move around in. They've been getting away with overcharges because it's a small town. They threatened to have my dog taken away because she briefly barked. No phones in the rooms. This is a sheisty place. You'll notice the owner only responds to the good reviews. Your business is dishonest....
