It was my first time staying at this hotel. I was there for a weekend craft retreat. Located off the main road and easy find. A large parking lot and covered welcome area. Greeted at the front desk. Although I was early, I was able to check-in, which was a plus. Hotel is brightly lit, minimal decoration, clean and welcoming. My room was a king size bed room. Bathroom had double sinks, back-lit mirror, walk-in shower with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers. My only complaint is the shower sliding door slids open. Small closet area with mini refrigerator and pod coffee maker. Desk and sitting area. Loved the back-lit headboard and long bench area under t.v. Hotel was quiet. The conference room was well lit with natural light from the wall of windows. The staff was very attentive to our groups needs. There is no continental breakfas. However, there is a cafe/wine bar. Meun for cafe is small, more of a quick bit, or snack. Cafe area is cozy, with plenty of seating, fireplace and t.v. I did purchase a glass of wine (during happy hour) to enjoy by the fireplace. Soda vending machines, ice machines and microwaves are available on each floor in a common area. An indoor pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. It's a nice place to stay, I would...

Me and my 2 friends went for an overnight getaway and stayed here due to good ratings. However, we went to the indoor pool where there were a couple other people. We noticed a few people come and approach the door, saw us and walked away. A couple minutes later the receptionist comes in and told us to we had to leave because we had our breasts out - we were too stunned to speak. We have reputable careers and would never do that…the only other difference was that the 3 of us were all of different ethnicities and it felt like we were racially profiled. When one of my friends said outloud while walking how crazy it was for them to falsely accuse us and it’d be sad if we get an attorney involved, the lady tells us “it’s nothing like that” and starts to freak out. My other complaint is there was no water bottles in the room and when I went downstairs to see if there’s a vending machine they said it’s not working and they only had 2 water bottles to give left…those are essentials!!! What kind of hotel doesn’t supply essentials, especially WATER?? Won’t be staying here again. Not worth the headache...

The room and amenities themselves were pretty good, however, the power went out in our room on the third night of our stay. Luckily, we did get moved to another room by the hotel but it was a hassle that would have been better not to have to deal with. The issue I have is that upon check-in, I was charged for my stay, however, the hotel reported never having received a payment despite the pending transaction reflecting on my credit account. It seems there was some sort of system issue that did not allow them to see record of payment. Rather than waiting for me to come to the front desk to figure out the matter, attempts were made to charge my card again, as well as the card I used for the initial reservation and one which I explicity requested not be used for the total cost of the stay. Now I'm having to wait on a refund of $800 on an account that was not supposed to be used. I appreciate the hotel making things right with the room power going out but I do not appreciate them being reckless with money that is not theirs. Just be careful with your...

Before the renovations I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat. I can no longer do that. Stay at the Best Western, better deal for the money. Complimentary breakfast? No longer You get a"Starbucks" inspired Cafe thing. Forget about water pressure. You get the "luxurious" appeal without functionality/ practicality. I'm not sure what's up with the pressure, I can live with the sink bring low. There's no excuse for the shower though. Plenty of low pressure square shape shower heads lol I was really looking forward to staying the night here, used to be my favorite hotel. I just can't anymore. Can't fault the people though, I was good with the customer service

We stayed at this location with kids over the years. While we like the ambience and indoor swimming pool, service and offering continue to decline over the years. We paid over $300 for a night's stay on an off season weekend. We don't recommend this place due to following reasons 1) overpriced, no breakfast instead they entice you to pre-pay for food/drink at the cafe. Best Western Plus a few blocks away gives you better value for the money 2) While rooms were renovated, window A/C unit is outdated and too loud. Exhaust in bath room is falling out. 3) Water flow is extremely low at faucets (picture below), I am all for conserving water but this is too much.
