Havertys Furniture — Local services in McDonough

My wife and I have made many purchases from Havertys over the last few years. We purchased a mattress and box springs from them that was defective and poorly made. It was under warranty and it was replaced by Havertys. This happened multiple times and we upgraded and paid more money for a “better” mattress every time. Finally we decided to purchase a mattress elsewhere, since we realized that Havertys was incapable of stocking a well made mattress without flaws. Havertys also does not hold their Mattress vendors accountable for supplying them and their customers a good product.

Havertys did give us a credit for the last mattress for us to use for other furniture. We explained to the store manager that we were in the process of relocating out of town and we wanted to keep the credit for awhile until we knew what we needed for our new house, when eventually found a home. He was not helpful at all. We called the district manager for help and it was obvious at that point where the store manager received his customer service skills.

To make a long story short - I was forced to use my credit or lose it. Please remember this is my wife and my money that we already spent on inferior product! We have now found a great home, and as I feared the furniture that I was forced to purchase doesn’t fit in the rooms of our new homes. This was the fear I had all along and expressed to Havertys. All I asked for was for them to hold my credit until my wife and I needed it. Now I have thousands of dollars worth of furniture that I don’t need and will have to shop for furniture that fits my home. Guess where I won’t shop!

Great first time experience. We didn't buy anything yet. but, when we are ready we will definitely be seeing Ms. Kendra. She was very knowledgeable and personable. Cant wait to get my house finished just so I can shop with her...

Little update... we got the furniture we wanted!!!! Kendra was great very nice and helpful. Had a few complications because we wanted the sales prices but we technically can’t buy until after we close on our house(financing options) and the sale would’ve been over by then. Never spoke to the manger but, Kendra did and worked a way for us to get our furniture and not have to run our credit...

Oan: be prepared for extended delivery delays. The set we wanted (about 7k dollars) won’t be available for at least a month plus days... they just didn’t have it in stock...

Havertys is definitely expensive in comparison to rooms to go or Ashely’s but Havertys does have better customer service and Quality furniture. Not to much I think they just have more to offer service wise...

New update 10/19 Furniture still hasn’t been delivered completed the order 2nd week of September order won’t be available till November 14. Kind of sucks. Not sure if I would continue to order from them just because of the wait time.. I hope that the furniture is exactly what we ordered I would hate to have a mishap which would cause...

Two months ago, my son, daughter-in-law and myself came in. Immediately, Tanya Bass welcomed us to the store and how can I help you. Selling home and downsizing with a New Journey. She was very professional and happy to help pick furniture! I purchased furniture for 1bdrm and it feels like home. Tanya help pick out dual recliner, end table, lamp, floor rug & part of entertainment to place my TV. Also, picked out bedroom set and mattress. I had difficulties finding a place. Did not move until August received furniture 08/16/24. Had personal difficulties and Tanya worked very hard holding furniture. Then I moved to Macon and all had to go thru Macon distribution.
