Burger King — Restaurant in McHenry

Not sure what changed, but it's possibly one of the worst locations to go to now. twice in a row I've had similar issues with this location. Saturday 1/27/24 around 6:00PM - 25 minutes to get through the drive through to place my order. I wasn't mad about that, there were a few cars in front of me, and I understand that they were busy. (Nobody inside at the time) I ordered a couple adult meals and a couple kids meals and an extra order of nuggets and extra onion rings. - $43 this time. The 2 orders of onion rings were missing. The 8 piece nugget was missing. I noticed the missing onion rings while I was still in the parking lot and had to walk around to the side entrance by the drive through to get in because the front door was locked at 6:30PM on a Saturday. (Why??) Managed to get someone's attention, and got a couple orders of onion rings.

Didn't notice the missing nuggets until I got home. - My kids were not happy about that.

But that's not the worst of it.. The onion rings were ice cold like they were fried long ago. The burgers were ice cold like they pre-cooked the patties long ago and didn't keep them warm at all. When I say cold, I mean they were at room temperature, and I'm not exaggerating that. How long does a patty need to sit out in a hot kitchen to reach room temp? These were absolutely cooked well before I arrived.

Isn't it a food safety issue to serve food that was cooked too far in advance?

If I had the option I would give them ZERO stars. This Burger King is the absolute WORST place to work at. I worked there for 2 years and was a manager for 8 months. They hired the wrong people. People who are lazy and rude to the customers. I ended up sending them home early and cutting their hours because they did not do what I asked them to do and they gave me attitude. A year ago that place started to fall apart after the new GM took over the place. She did not care about ANY of her employees or the company. To her sitting in an office all day doing nothing is being a good manager. We ran out stuff because she would never do the order for the truck delivery. She never replaced any equipment that broke. She always understaffed me and one of the other managers. She lets people BULLY each other. Many of my hard working employees left because they felt like they didn’t belong there. She never did anything productive or anything that helped improve the company. She never cared about me or the other managers. Every time I had a problem with something she would say “ Suck it up buttercup! I just don’t care”. Yes, that is how I was treated. PARENTS NEVER let your child work here. Over the past year this restaurant has become a toxic, drama filled workplace. The GM even hired managers who have NO EXPERIENCE AT ALL. I can definitely tell this place will not...

This location consistantly does not have the quality service that this organization and franchise is known for. The management Ive found along with employees have a I don't care attitude. Many experiences this is based on. Here are just a few. Last year had numerous problems that the morning staff did not know how to make the bacon on their croissants well done or crispy when requested it was acknowledged but not done. They finally got that down. Recently this location will not give change back stating it in signs. So if you dont use charge you must jave exact change or loose money. How aburd ! A month ago when fish sandwiches were on special sale I ordered two with extra tarter sauce and was told there is none. We have been out a week. Really? Buy some if your supplier is out your literally next to a grocery store. Another time I ordered thru drive up in pouring rain. The employee asked me to pull up and they would come out to deliver my meal. Normally fone bit felt bad someone would be soaked. I suggested could I wait here until someone pulls behind me?
