Sunday, September 10th, around 4pm I believe my mom and I decided to come here to pickup an online order that I had placed. I didn’t think it would be such a hassle because I’ve actually placed a separate order prior to this trip just maybe a week ago (some lady actually parked so close to my car that day that she had her door resting on the side of it and her excuse for that was that she “didn’t slam it” so having her door resting on the side of my car should be ok. Wildly entitled but that’s people of McKinney for you I guess.) On this Sunday however once I get to the place I call the number and tell them I have a pick up order for my name. They tell me they don’t have a pickup order under my name. I told them what my order was and they said they couldn’t find it and to come in with the receipt. Strange, but I complied because I was extremely hungry and in a rush to get back home to salvage the rest of my weekend before work and I also didn’t want my car to be hit by some overly entitled mother of McKinney. I come inside and they’re about 2-3 girls standing there, mind you a lot of them looked underaged, and they ask to see my receipt. No problem, I comply, I’m thinking mistakes happen I guess. Sure I was alittle ticked off by it and inconvenienced but I’m thinking maybe it was just a human error or maybe they were too busy. So they take a look at my receipt, they apologize, and they inform me that my order will be ready soon. So they seat us in the waiting room, which is enjoyably close to the restrooms so that was fun making eye contact with several husky men before they go to the restroom right before I’m supposed to eat- love that. We sat there for what felt like eternity. Maybe 30 minutes at most. Sure, my mom did order something too but like 6 wings and some fries how bad can you mess that up right. Well finally the underaged girl brings my food out but not before demanding the money for the food. That’s right people- demanding the money for the food. After I had already successfully made my order in the app. This seems to be a trend here charging twice because the order I made a week ago said it didn’t go through the first time in the app, but I submitted it the second time because I had the funds to submit the order the first time, and it goes through. What kind of messed up app does this place run where the restaurant doesn’t get the order or the app cannot process a single simple payment? And then the customer gets blamed for the inaccuracy and the problem. My mom told the girl how we wanted a manager yet I REFUSE to sit here and panhandle for my rightly deserved order that had been placed the right way on the app for 6 measly frozen made wings. I just refuse to do that. The fact that nobody raised these questions to me whenever I showed them my receipt the first time is appalling. You made me wait, waste time, sit there for no reason, had to endure the bathroom situation as well, to then have the audacity to tell me that I’m still going to have to pay for the order because the restaurant never got the notification and if they find it days later after researching how they would refund me. After I’m already waiting for the wrongful second pending charge for my order that I placed a week ago to fall off. What kind of incompetent childish business practice is this? Have some common sense. Why wasn’t my photo of my online order good enough for you? Do you think someone has the time to photoshop a whole photo of a receipt for frozen wings? You guys are crazy and have the worst customers in the parking lot as well. I won’t ever be supporting another Buffalo Wild Wings chain ever again. I am still needing the customer support phone number as well so that I can raise my complaint to corporate. This McKinney location needs serious help and also needs updates as well. Read moreNot happy with this place. I have NEVER had a good experience at this specific location. Staff is rude (except our waitress she was nice but maybe should look for a job she is good at) I went in with my wife, daughter and sister. We where standing behind the podium for 30 minutes before being seated. Staff kept watching us but instead of coming to AT LEAST greet us and acknowledge us or the 3 couples behind us they looked and kept sweeping the floors, or talking to eachother. Some of the staff was rude to other guests and acted like they didn't want to be there. Finally when sat down we made did get our orders made and filled pretty promptly which was a nice change. The food however came out less than warm. The flavors I ordered where incorrect all 4 of them however on the reciept they where correct. We had a split bill between 2 people. Both of us got the wrong recepit 4 times each before the waitress finally drew up the right one and had placed the wrong orders on the wrong receipts. The first 4 receipts had alcohol beverages and random orders we had not ordered. Each bill was $15-$31.72 more expensive than our meal. I almost paid it too (which is completely on me) unless my sister and wife had not pointed out their bill was incorrect. Some of the food we ordered was not brought to us until after we had almost finished and when it came it was cold. When asking for a booster for our 1 year old daughter the host brought us a booster covered in ketchup. He did kindly grab us a new one but he had ketchup on his hand when he gave it to us... How did he not notice... all and all. The staff here is all lazy, being in Management and in the restuarant business I can tell when things are slammed. I know some staff members did their absolute best but when you have 6/7 waiters walking around maybe 3 of them waiting and the other 3/4 are sweeping at watching people pile in. Whoever runs this store does not know how to manage a team or at the very least stress the importance of customer service. At the very least someone should be trained enough to know to walk to the door and greet guests and inform them they will be with us shortly they are working to provide a clean and comfortable experience for us. Read moreBWW has definitely gone downhill. Not just saying that because they got rid of their best item (the fried mushrooms) years ago. We have eaten at this location many times and it’s always been ok, not great, and not terrible, until our last trip.
We ordered an Appetizer, and then wings for the wife and I, plus a kids meal for my son. Most restaurants send an appetizer before the rest of the meal which allows you to enjoy your appetizer while it’s hot, and do the same with your meal when it comes later. We got our appetizer first, by about 10 seconds.. so most of the food ended up lukewarm/cold by the time we were done eating the appetizer.
Most of the wings were overcooked to the point where the meat was dry and stringy feeling. Definitely not a good mouth feel. We ordered dry rub lemon pepper wings, which had virtually no seasoning / flavor on them and honestly smelled a little odd. Those were most noticeably overcooked.
The other flavor wings we ordered were ok, not as overcooked as the lemon pepper, or at least not as noticeable due to the sauce. The main reason we ever go to BWW is for the Asian Zing sauce… but after this visit, I can’t imagine spending another dime here.
The breading to one of my wings somehow had pieces of bone in it which I bit into, and thankfully I didn’t chip a tooth. When I let the waiter know about the bone, he was not really apologetic, and acted vey nonchalantly about it saying it was odd because the wings come pre-breaded (as if food suppliers are immune to mistakes). He said he would let his manager know about it and if we had any other issues to let him know. At no point did the manager come to apologize, discuss the bone or even to see how the meal was.
When we got the bill, come to find out we were charged for the “sample” of new sauce they had offered us. This would not have been problematic had we been made aware of it up front.
As a former waiter, honestly I am appalled at the food we were served, and the lack of care/service we received. As a customer spending money, I am incredibly annoyed and will not be back to this location.
