By far the best cookies we have ever had, hands down! Cozy, welcoming atmosphere, phenomenal staff; more particularly Reyna. We went Friday before last, been twice more since. That Friday, it was the first time we had ever been. We attempted to go in several times, but it was so busy we decided to wait. When we finally went in, we heard someone greet us from the dining area. One girl, cleaning, and I think she was all by herself. Nonetheless, she came out with a broom and a smile, washed her hands, and proceeded to ask us if we had been before. We told her this was in fact our first time. She tells us about the cookies, how some of the cookies change weekly, and even a little bit of Chip City history when we asked about other locations. In the middle of us talking, we hear beeping. She excuses herself for a second, and runs to the back. She was baking cookies while she was talking with us. On top of that, she was boxing up orders, I'm assuming that were ordered online, door dash, uber, I don't know, but this girl not once lost focus on us. Extremely attentive and engaging in conversation while handling the million and one other things she needed to. She listened and laughed with us while we rambled on about our son's homecoming game. Not once did she try to rush us out of there or get annoyed like other people have before at other places. (We are proud of our kids, and we talk A LOT) She helped us with our choices and was very knowledgeable about the cookies. Give that girl a raise or a promotion or something, because that girl is a gem! She really knows how to make a customer feel important and is obviously passionate about what she does. I have never in my 53 years seen someone so vibrant and excited about their job. Chip City knew what they were doing when they hired her and their cookie creators!! The cookies are huge, and they have a variety of cookies I personally would have never even thought would exist! They are so incredibly delicious, and it is such a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. As busy as she was, that girl's smile never faded. We truly enjoyed ourselves. As long as they keep those delicious cookies and Reyna behind that counter, we will always come back for more! Chip City has acquired 3 cookie loving regulars for life! Looking forward to...
Read moreThe cookies were warm, but unfortunately dry and sandy in texture, and really lacked salt. They mostly tasted like flour, sugar, and butter — not much depth or that rich, gooey quality you’d expect. Considering their motto is “Have a gooey day,” the cookies didn’t quite live up to it.
I’ve followed them on Instagram for years (NYC location) and their posts always make the cookies look incredible — loaded with flavor and texture. It was a bit of an Instagram vs. reality situation. Maybe the cookies are kept warm too long, which could explain why ours turned out dry.
The shop itself has a nice vibe, but it would really help to add some blinds or shades — the sun was blaring through the windows, which made it a little uncomfortable while deciding what to order.
Overall, I might give them another try someday, but this first visit was...
Read moreWe tried Chip City for the first time tonight and were not only pleasantly surprised with the quality of the cookies, but the AMAZING customer service. We got a six pack and pretty much every cookie was pretty solid! We went with the “normal” cookies and they are definitely on the large side. I think next time around I’d go with the thin cookies instead. The Chocolate Lava Cookie is a must have if you’re into that kind of thing.
We waited a little bit for a few of the cookies to finish baking, but the two ladies that worked tonight were extremely nice and gave us a free cookie after one broke while they were putting it in the box! So thoughtful and they were extremely nice to all the customers and kids that came in. The customer service was worth...
