Let me start with the good things: The shop locate in the huge commercial building, so parking is not a problem at all. The interior design is fabulous. They use artificial tree and grass, make the color blend very nice with tile. Im obsessed with the waiting wall tile. Thumbs up for the architect of this design. Very nice place to take pictures.
They use barcode to scan. It takes guests to the website of the shop, and guests can order straight from there. Every table has each own barcode, so the orders go through the kitchen with the table number on it. It’s very cool right?
The furniture is very high end, or at least it looks high end because I dont have luxury furniture experience. It looks very beautiful and match with the shop’s vibe.
CONS:
I dont think the shop is ready to open, or at least they not fully ready.
We went on Sunday morning at 11am, an hour after they open. The shop is already full. We wait for about 20-30 minutes and see a table left, so we went over and took that table for 2 people. They don’t have any host to take waiting list. Guests mostly get in line themselves, and sit themselves in the table. No clear guideline or direction.
We started ordering around 11:30am (AN HOUR AND HALF after opening), and most of the things are sold out. The Souffle Cakes take 20-40 minutes to make, and the other cakes are either low or out of stock. Even the drinks, we don’t know why a coffee/tea shop runs out the drinks after just over an hour opening. (Pictures attached)
We ended up ordering 2 drinks (Pistachio Latte). It takes 17-19 minutes for the drinks to get to the table. Everyone has different tastes, so im not gonna say it’s not good. It looks nice, but the taste is nothing special to me. It’s light of coffee and it’s lack of flavors that it supposed to have (pistachio). 6/10 imo.
The servers/managers kept bringing the wrong order to the table. Someone ordered the cake, and they kept bringing it to our table even that we said it’s not us to order. 2 waiters, one waitress, and the managers, so total 4 times they brought the same wrong order to our table. It literally shows that the shop is lacking of staff training/management.
The menu is very limited option for editing orders. We can’t adjust the sugar level on the drinks or modify the dishes.
The bill, the shop auto added the service charges (15%) into the bill without telling customers upfront. We neither remove nor change it. The shop also keeps the tip suggesting when checking out, so if customers not paying attention on the bills, they ended up tipping and paying for service charges. It’s really SHADY in my opinion. The service is not worth the service charge if I can tell my opinion. I need to sit myself, order myself, check out myself, confused myself on the menu without any assistance. The only times I saw service is they brought drinks to my table, and 4 times wrongly brought food, also the cleaning from the bus boy.
I may go back in the future to bring some friends because it’s a very nice coffee shop. Will give the...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went in to get breakfast and some coffee. It took a really long time to get our order, including the coffee. The coffee took over 15 minutes and our food came out 15 minutes after that. Total timewise, it took 30 minutes to get 2 fried eggs, keilbasa, bacon and 1 breakfast sandwich. The food was cold and wasn't worth the price. The meal is called "Pan fried eggs"... that's literally all it was. The description says that it includes tender chicken strips, savory sausage, topped with microgreens and diced peppers. I read the description kind of in a hurry, but I picked it because it sounded like it would be packed full of protein. I did not get tender strips, no microgreens and definitely didn't get any diced peppers. it was a split container. One side had the cold fried eggs and the other with the "savory sausages", which was just keilbasa, and a few slices of the turkey bacon. I didn't get what I paid for. My boyfriend's sandwich was just okay. Nothing to run and rave about, just an average breakfast sandwhich. It did come with a salad, but the dressing was all over the place and I had to wipe the sandwich down.
Lets talk coffee. This is what got them the 3 stars. The coffee was really good, and in my opinion, this is what they should soley focus on. Remove the food. Maybe have some pastries to go with the coffee, but the dining experience ruins it all.
Service... the servers were all super polite and sweet, however, the whole namaste vibe didn't do it for me. They were too slow! They had a full crew! 4-5 baristas, 5-6 servers standing around smiling doing pretty much nothing. The wait time was just ridiculous, especially for the amount of guests they had. I've gotten faster service at restaurants that were packed full.
Overall, it was not a good experience. Maybe it works for people who like the slow process and don't mind overpaying for food that's worth half what they charge. My recommendation is for them to remove their breakfast menu and just cater to their coffee menu. I thought the coffee tasted great. Why it took so long is beyond me. All day we kept saying, "we shouldn't have gone there"... know why? I was STILL HUNGRY! I spent $50! Not worth that much for sure.
If you still plan on trying this place, I recommend getting their coffee, it's really the only redeeming thing they have there. I also recommend you carve out at least 30-40 minutes to be there, maybe bring a magazine also.
It's a place that I can take off my "places to try",...
Read moreThe food, service and staff were good overall. Some of the food items are overpriced for the serving size of the protein. Also they add an 8% service charge to your bill even though no one takes your order. Host seats you, you order online and someone brings out the food to you. They don’t even bring out water you have to get up and get it yourself. Unfortunately the owner ruined the entire experience making our first time there our last time. The staff seated us in their meeting room due to how busy it was on Good Friday. We were 4 adults and 2 toddlers. The owner came in stating that they normally do not allow children in the meeting room and to not let them touch anything. She could have approached it in an entirely different way, at the very least said welcome in. She could have stated thank you for coming in, please be mindful of the items in this room with the kids being in here. She came in acting like the kids were climbing the walls and throwing things. We had been in the room already 10-15 mins, my 3 yr old was sitting in a chair watching one of his shows and my almost 2 yr old was walking around looking at his reflection in the glass. They hadn’t even done a thing nor would I allow them too. We informed her that we were seated here that we didn’t ask to be seated here. That the kids hadn’t done a thing and that I would never allow them to. She still insisted on being rude and stating make sure they don’t touch anything. She then clearly berated the host in the middle of the restaurant in front of everyone - that is the saddest part of it all. It is already hard enough to find good halal food and when ownership acts this way it makes me less inclined to give them my business. Even if she had a bad experience in the past it is not appropriate to assume that it would happen again. If you have little ones I wouldn’t go here, save your money, pack lunch from home and take your kids somewhere fun for the day! I ended up spending about $150, for less than that I could have taken the entire group to the Dallas zoo...
