Rivera's Restaurant — Restaurant in McKinney

This place is a nice and quiet restaurant, never crowded-- food is most excellent and I tell all my friends about it, this location specifically is better than one of their other locations I've been to quite a lot as well. I went with a friend last night and we both got the beef fajitas, they're my favorite although I've tried a couple other things that were great too. I might also recommend this jalapeno green sauce, it's soooooooooooo good. I love this stuff. This was the first time the fajitas came with a roasted jalapeno!!! Sadly, I did not eat it as the flavor profile differed too much from the yummy green jalapeno sauce... Which tastes so good on...

This place has gone way down hill.Went in today after a funeral and I called ahead and told them that there would be 10 of us. The waitress didn't understand English and brought the wrong drinks. Then the carbonation was out so we had to wait even longer. She never did get the drinksnright by the way. Ordered a shrimp cocktail and they brought 3 of them. Ordered our entrees after about 30 minutes after waiting to get the drinks somewhat figured out. 30 minutes later entrees starting arriving and the were all cold. 2nd bite in and my cousins found a cockroach melted into the cheese in her Chile relleno. We all left immediately...

The food is sooooo good, but the vibe was absolutely horrible. It was our first time to go and as we walked in, it was more of a Cantina vibe. Old drunk couples and karaoke. We stood there at the entrance looking awkward, then sat ourselves, we were greeted as seated by the BT and service was OK. 10 MINS IN, A DRUNK MAN WAS STUMBLING ALL OVER THE PLACE AND A FIGHT ALMOST BROKE OUT. Security/Cops is there, but its like if they weren't!! Lol idk id go bk for food, but def during the day, never again will i go passed 7pm. Lol i ddnt know it was this type of restaurant! I do now...
