The food is great. HOWEVER, I took my wife to lunch for Mother’s Day and we had a unbelievable experience. It was raining so I let my wife out at the door and parked my van. I’m in a wheelchair and there wasn’t any handicapped parking available. No big deal, it happens. So after parking I went to the door of the restaurant and proceeded to open the door. Struggling to get the door open and maneuver into the restaurant I see a employee standing at the podium where you sign in to be seated. He was standing there visiting and laughing with a coworker. He looked straight at me and saw that I was struggling to get through the doorway. Did he come over and help me open the door? NO!!! He just continues talking and laughing with the cute girl that he was obviously overwhelmed with! My wife sees me struggling and she sees the employee looking at me and before she is able to get to me I’m already inside. My wife just holds her hands up as to say, “aren’t you going to help him?” as she looks at him. So I went over to him in my wheelchair and I said, Brother, a person would think that when you see someone struggling to come into your restaurant in a wheelchair that you would have the decency to come over and assist them? He never said a word! I shared what happened with our waitress which was a very sweet young lady. She apologized for what we had experienced and said that it was absolutely unacceptable. She said she was going to tell her manager about it. So after we were eating, I asked our waitress if she talked to her manager. She said that she did talk to her manager, and that her manager said that it was absolutely unacceptable. OK, so we have an employee that is very lacking in people skills and basic common sense. Now, we have a manager who didn’t have the decency to come and apologize for the behavior of her employee! What in the world is going on here? In most situations, the manager would have come over and let us know that she had been made aware of the situation, and apologized and assured that it was going to be addressed. but no…. We were very disappointed by the lack of decency regarding this...
Read moreThe restaurant is easy to find and there is ample parking. Inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated and quite large. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was very crowded always a good sign that the food is good. ( But not in this instance ) Our server was terrible she walked up to the table and said "what do you want to drink?" No hello, no introduction, no smile...nothing. she brought our drinks and some bread. The bread that she bought to the table was very dry and seemed like it might have been a few days old. I ordered sweet tea it was very weak and cost $3 😒 I ordered biscuits and gravy that comes with an egg, and hash browns... the biscuit was huge but look like it had been burned, there was a large sausage patty that was cut into mini pieces as well, it also seemed like it was overcooked but it was all smothered in gravy so you couldn't really tell unless you scraped the gravy off. I did ask for the hash browns well done and in their defense they came out well done. most restaurants overlook that part so kudos to them for doing that. My eggs were overcooked and rubbery. My partner ordered the chicken fried steak and he enjoyed it very much... I did take a bite of it and I enjoyed it as well. It was cooked just perfectly and the gravy on top was quite flavorful. Overall I found the food to be just average, the service to be terrible and the environment to be very nice. I noticed on the menu they have chicken and dumplings which is my favorite food in the world ....I will go back one more time to try that out and whether I returned or not will depend on...
Read moreThe food is great, I come in here with my family trying to relax, I got the guy all rushy taking order, secondly he calls the lady to take our drink order I gotta talk to both at once to place a basic order for a family of 4 super rushy unorganized, then he randomly starts talking to the table next to us, then back to us, rushing us for the sides, basically picking it for us almost, offers us bread, doesn’t come after food is here… then when food comes we finish our plates and the carrots and other side for the dish after food is basically done. He offers to refill my daughter’s sprite, and after 10 min still hasn’t came back. nasty attitude, I like the food but eating in is the most unpleasant experience I have had so far in a restaurant. I normally never write reviews but this place has me more stressed and annoyed walking out than anything else. absolute worst I have ever experienced in my life. The lady who was doing drinks was way better at it, she would make a great waiter, kind and everything,. I tipped him 18% (way too much for the horrible service) but I felt bad for Robert b. I wasn’t gonna write his name but after that he gonna mumble “wasting my time”. Bro you are the one who wasted my time. He took 2 drinks off the charge trying to get more tip, bro I will MUCH RATHER pay the drinks AND tip you $30 just to get a smile and some kindness while I’m eating. It’s not about the money people don’t understand that I don’t care about spending money I just want my little free time I have off from work with my family to be ENJOYABLE and eat...
