Neighborhood Kitchen — Restaurant in Medford

This is my favorite restaurant in the Boston area. The griot and the salmon entrees are so delicious. Seriously get a griot for the table. I just had their creole shrimp and grits and there were more shrimp than I could count. I love the wings (I can never remember what kind, but the ones that come with the appetizer platter). I also don’t know what kind of fish they use for the Caribbean fish sandwich, but it’s so flavorful and moist. I’ve had it multiple times and it’s consistent too, which is something I really admire. Honestly, I haven’t enjoyed the rice, but I just get sweet potato fries or fill up on the other delicious things in the menu. Friends have eaten the chicken and waffles with very positive reviews, but I’m still too obsessed with the fish dishes...

My husband and I were starting a road trip up to New Hampshire and needed something to eat that would help us wake up and be ready for the trip, after a night of drinks in Boston, and a mild hangover. The Salmon sandwich and spicy chicken sandwich (spring street chicken) came in clutch!!! Something we didn't know we needed until we had it!! The cashier (I didn't catch her name 🥲) was the best!!! Such outstanding costumer service and food, the spicy sauce she gave me was absolutely delicious, and she hooked us up with extra of it because she noticed how much I loved it!!! We ordered delivery from here on a Saturday afternoon when we were craving chicken and waffles - the honey cornbread waffle with sweet BBQ tenders and the Asian sesame scallion waffle with Korean wings (pictured). Each came with one big, fluffy waffle and 4 large tenders/9 meaty wings (I might’ve eaten half before taking the picture). The order arrived quickly for a weekend, the fantastic quality and amount of food. I was imagining a stronger sesame taste to the one waffle but it was more like a plain Belgium with scallions, which I didn’t mind since I could then still dip it in the included syrup or the wing sauce.
