⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hidden Gem in Medford – Amazing Food & Family Atmosphere!
I should’ve taken a picture of my food, but it was too good—I ate it all before I could remember! When the food came out, it was beautifully presented, with obvious care and attention to quality. They even stamp their burgers with a custom mark, which was such a special touch. The food was fresh, delicious, and made with real ingredients—you could tell they use things like organic lettuce and quality produce.
I ordered my son something simple, thinking he might not enjoy the jambalaya since it was had a little spice and he’s only one but when our food arrived, he surprised me by stealing my entire bowl and eating every bite! 😂🤣😂🤣 I had to find the owner and tell him how funny it was, and he responded with incredible generosity, giving me another plate free of charge. He said, “I’m glad he liked it! Good is good. You’ve got to eat too—I insist.” He’s right good is good and spice wasn’t stopping my baby from gobbling up his jambalaya. Don’t let this talk about spice deter you either, it’s not over spicy and he gives samples too! It came with the okra and everything! 😋 we all tried each other‘s food and literally every single thing we ordered was delicious! It was juicy, cooked perfectly, fresh, seasoned perfectly, etc. !!! Yall just gotta go try it lol! I ate my burger in like 2 minutes. It was impressive. 😂🤣
This family-owned business puts so much heart into everything they do. From the moment you walk in, the space feels welcoming. There’s an adorable patio setup with family games, toys for kids, and a laid-back backyard barbecue vibe—just like the name suggests. The owner and his family are warm, kind, and truly care about their customers. This is the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy a great meal, and let the weight of the world melt away. The good vibes are vibing!!!
Beyond the amazing food, there’s even more to explore: a clothing shop, a barbershop, several food trucks, with lots of choices including fruit smoothie bowls. Everything about this place feels genuine—real people, real food, and top-notch customer service.
We also saw a sign that said comedy night so they appear to have themed nights which would be super fun to check out and they do have a little bar too.
To top it all off, the prices are incredibly reasonable. We fed everyone for around $31. In today’s economy, that’s nearly unheard of, especially considering the quality and variety they offer.
This spot is truly a hidden gem in Medford, and we’ll definitely be back! Grabbed a Tshirt too! They deserve more...
Read moreI’ll never forget how welcoming and inclusive they are to everybody, except breed discrimination towards larger dogs they don’t like. After paying a $20 entry and hanging out for well over an hour with no issue, getting along with everyone and making friends because everyone loves the dogs, two bouncers were directed to target and harass me with overbearing tone body language and aggressive behavior, which created tension and drama, in an effort to purposely provoke my dogs and get me to leave. My dogs are so well behaved their ruse didn’t work, but they forced me out of my seat because they wanted to give it to someone else. I felt compelled to leave to prevent my dogs from another maliciously evocative encounter, or possibly being forcibly and illegally ejected from the premises with out just cause. Not the first time a proprietor has lied to the police to force my dogs out.
The message was loud and clear. All his patrons love the dogs, but he doesn’t. Our kind isn’t welcome there even though we caused no incident. I even went back a few months later for a togo order and he recognized us, so he came out to greet me with a hostile stare as he walked to an office and slammed a door.
Just calling out shame. for a place that “prides” themselves on inclusively. They need to be more careful about who they’re discriminating against because marginalized people and service animals aren’t always obvious, and they could be subjected to legal action.
It’s a very limited bar with average food trucks that are always inconveniently closed, in a parking lot with no bathrooms, just disgusting porta potties that stink up the place, perfect for local alcoholics to congregate. For the prices they charge, you could pick a brick and mortar establishment that has better entertainment, climate control, and running water. Even if you are not subjected to discriminatory treatment, still...
Read moreThe Backyard community food court is absolutely amazing! I had the pleasure of going there with my roommate yesterday and we were warmly welcomed by the owner's son. He gave us a rundown of what they were all about and even recommended the most incredible burger I have ever tasted. I'm not usually a fan of onions, but the caramelized onions on that burger were so sweet and delicious.
The atmosphere at the food court is truly something that needs to be experienced. We had the opportunity to chat with the owner and father, who is clearly building something incredible here. I was impressed to see that there are around five different food carts, all run by different people, offering a great variety of delicious foods. And it's not just about the food - they also bring in live bands and comedians, so there's always something fun happening, especially on the weekends.
What's even more special is that it's a true family affair. It seems like everyone in the family is involved in some way or another. I found out that the owner's children even have their own clothing lines, and they sell them right there at the food court. I also discovered some really cool western clothes and shoes available, making it a one-stop wonder for everything you need.
If you're looking to support your community, local foods, and small businesses, the Backyard community food court is definitely the place to go. Trust me, you won't be...
