Ramen is all about the broth, and the ramen itself, (noodles) they did great with the broth but not so much with the ramen. If I didn't know better and maybe I don't, the ramen tasted like some basic top ramen stuff to me. I lived in Sapporo for years (Ramen capital of the world) and it's just hard to find anything close here in the states. I ordered the "Red Spicy" broth. The broth was deep and rich and it had some good heat to it. The toppings were good, the pork, corn and mushrooms but the noodles were not on par. I wonder where the nearest fresh ramen noodle maker is? In spite of the noodles it was great and I ate and drank it all and I will be coming back for the seafood ramen and the Chirashi bowl. $13 for the ramen seemed very reasonable. Location is sketch but right next door to the Asian/Japanese grocery is very convenient. Staff was great.

Was talking to a bunch of friends about takoyaki so guess what must be ordered when seeing it on the menu? My husband thought it was okay, but living in Japan for a few years eating this at every festival, it was a nice bit of nostalgia. I just forgot the number one rule with it which was that it was very hot xD To be different from my usual ramen order, decided to try the poke bowl and it was delicious! I got the spicy version and at first I thought I flunked on spice but beat the end it got me good! Very filling too which was great! Hubby got a roll and I forgot what it was called but I know it had jalapenos on it which was just right without overpowering it.

It’s hard to find spicy food in the area that is actually spicy, so we were pleasantly surprised by the kick that the red miso ramen offered. I found the flavor of the tonkotsu ramen was overwhelming before I was halfway through. However, we didn’t feel that way about the miso ramen. The sushi was fresh, and the staff was friendly. The appetizer came after our ramen did, which was a bit odd, but not a big deal. Four stars because we’ve had better ramen elsewhere, and the service could’ve been more attentive. Having said that, we would definitely return in the future for sushi and poke bowls.

Editing to add my most recent experience on 11/15/24:

I'm not sure what has happened in the last 4 months but the lack of quality service is astounding. I was excited to bring my boyfriend to my favorite sushi spot but left feeling embarrassed and upset by our experience and that we even spent our money here.

It is the middle of November and 48° outside but the restaurant was somehow colder inside than outside.

We arrived at 2:30 and were seated promptly (the best part of the experience) but noticed a menu change via a paper taped to the walls which we couldn't see from across the room. Upon asking the server if there were any available menus, I was told "No, there aren't any, I guess I could take one off the wall for you", which made me feel like I'd inconvenienced our server so my boyfriend chose to take a picture so I could see the added items, which aren't even Japanese cuisine.

My boyfriend and I ordered before 3 other tables and a person ordering food to go. He chose the Tonkotsu Ramen at my reccomendation (which he didn't like because the pork tasted off), I chose the Hot Zombie roll, and we both had a soda. Somehow he was served a full 10 minutes before me, with all other patrons, including the to go order, receiving their food before I was finally served. The servers never addressed me directly, never checked on us to see if we were enjoying our food, or needed anything and I was only addressed when I had to ask for silverware for his ramen. My boyfriend politely waited to eat his ramen until I was served and only 2 minutes later, the server gave us our bill and asked my boyfriend who'd only began eating moments before, if he'd like a to go box.

I enjoyed my sushi but didn’t enjoy being treated as an inconvenience, served after all other patrons, my boyfriend embarrassingly served unappealing ramen, rushed to leave after barely being served, and pay $36.00 (with a $1.00 tip).

The rolls are just as delicious as they are large. The staff truly care about their customer experience, and their service reflects this. The ramen is delicious and all the way down to the Soba noodles and is...

I gave one star, because of the experience that I had today with this place. First, I must say that I absolutely LOVE this place...I frequently go there; the food and servers are great. --Today, I ordered take-out and by the time I got home, I realized that my order was incorrect. I ordered veggie black garlic ramen, and instead, I got ramen with some sort of meat. I called and told the server (a guy) that I had received the wrong order. He was very apologetic, and was willing to correct my order. I told him that I would send my husband to pick it up and as we were hanging up, he said, "feel free to keep that other order too". Being that I don't eat meat, I was just going to give it to my husband... until I got a call from the restaurant, and the server says "The owner wants you to return that other meal, or he (the owner) is saying that he will charge you for both"---by this point, my husband had already left the house nor did he have his cell phone with him. The server ended up taking care of the situation, I assume that he probably paid out of pocket for that mistake.. which is unfortunate. The owners of this place have to recognize that mistakes WILL happen. The server did a PHENOMENAL job of proper service recovery; because of his great service, that is the only reason why I will still go to this place. The owners were more focused on not wasting an entree, and making sure that they got paid it... they obviously did not care about empathetically correcting this situation...

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

The food definitely went downhill and the service was HORRIBLE! They weren’t busy for a Saturday night which is a red flag for sure.

The server who took our order had a huge attitude problem. She was not even one bit friendly and when she brought us our ramen, she slammed the bowls on the table causing the broth to splash all over the table and on the ground. Never bothered to come clean up the mess she made AND she never once checked on us. The second server was the one who gave us our bill and I had to ask them twice for a Togo box. Honestly, I wish we left when she slammed the bowls on the table.

The ramen was the worst bowl of ramen I ever had. For $18 dollars for a seafood ramen, you think they would put a generous amount of seafood… nope. They put about 3 pieces of squid, 2 over cooked clams, 2 scallops and 2 small shrimp. When I mean small shrimp, I mean the ones you see in the frozen section at a grocery store. They used to put fresh shrimp in the ramen! Not anymore. Nothing is fresh there. The broth was very bland and my brother said his ramen tasted really plain too.

If there’s a new owner taking over this place, please take the time to read the review and please train your servers better.

If you want to check out the place still, go at your own risk. But don’t expect too much from...
