Post-Wedding Reception Drink Up was a blast!

My bride and I wanted to find a place for drinks after our reception venue (the Towne House) closed at 10PM. We had lived in Media while Off The Rails was still Joclyn's and we were impressed by the renovations to the location enough that we envisioned it as a destination for our wedding party to enjoy a few more drinks. We used the website to submit a request and I was reached within a couple days to set up a phone call. Ron (the event coordinator) reached out to me and after a short conversation I was feeling good about bringing my guests to OTR once our reception ended. Ron kept in touch leading up to the night of the event which gave me peace of mind that he was thinking of us arriving.

Access to OTR on a Saturday night usually comes with a cover charge, but Ron waived that for my guests which made it very accessible for us to bring the group. Around 15 of us arrived in groups of 3-4 and without much hassle everyone made it in according to the space constraints as they were at capacity when we arrived around 11PM. We enjoyed the dance floor and the outside seating on a cool night. Being able to bring my guests to another Media location after our Ceremony/Reception at the Towne House was a perfect way to close celebrations of our day and I couldn't be more thankful to Ron and his team.

Thanks to the team and the bouncers for my first racist experience in the US of A. I mean getting thrown out of a bar because I am brown is priceless and teaches me a lot about the country. I hope they shut down really soon. New management, I hope you do everybody else good.

*Edit- I would appreciate it if you take time to investigate the issue thoroughly and then respond back. At this point, this seems like a hush job response to mislead the audience into believing this was not the case. Matt at the the front door only issued one warning which was adhered to. Sadly, there is no metric to measure and evaluate racism coming from a person who allowed in everybody else breaking the rules except for the only 3 Asian guys in the queue. I am sorry to tell you this but yes your bouncer is selective about the the poeole he lets in because everybody else breaking the rules got in because they measured up to a certain criteria for letting in. And I am really sorry but citing diversity in employment is not ideal because at the end of the day you are running a business and you're gonna hire anyone who'll do the job for the offered pay and turn away anyone who does not appeal to your majority audience to appeal to them. If you are watching the cameras then we shouldn't even have been allowed to approach the bar floor. We stopped in Off The Rail yesterday for the first time since they were open and were blown away by how much better (brighter, cleaner, etc.) it was with all of the updates that have been done by the new owners! This is a completely new bar and restaurant and just what Media needed! Same awesome (and much improved) deck perfect for watching sports games or hanging with friends having some drinks and they even serve food now - with a small but mighty menu of bar food. We cannot wait to plan some happy hours here and to enjoy this new State Street establishment for years to come!

We just hosted an office happy hour/birthday get-together last month at off-the-Rail and everyone had a blast! It was a beautiful day and the deck was open! The deck ambiance was perfect for a sunny day gathering There was March Madness games on TV! The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more attentive! We ordered some food trays and everything was delish - we especially love the cheeseteak eggrolls, wings, and hot rail shrimp and you couldn't beat the drink specials!
