The vibes was good in this place. It feels like a place in the Keys and if you read any of my reviews you know that I am all about that type of lifestyle. They even have Carib beer - maybe Stag will be brewing something soon! Let me get into this review before I go on a tangent and start writing about some place else. Nice atmosphere - hang more stuff in the ceiling, more fish, fish net with crabs, boat buoy, get a mermaid and more crazy stuff. Nevertheless I like the place, situated on the water with the boats as the backdrop, great location, very romantic. Service was also good and timely but she took the DRINK menu, when you are a a bar restaurant you are there to have a few drinks so leave the drink menu I had to call a different server just for another menu, still not a big deal or a game changer. Food - My wife ordered the fish grilled with Jerk (i believe). Listen to me when I say this because I was not expecting it. The DAMN fish was 5 STARZ. Delicious, tender and well cooked, the steamed veg (basic) but also seasoned pretty good. My cod was with the garlic something something shallots something. It was perfectly cooked. I am going to say it - I love garlic but this was a bit over the top on the garlic. So I used minimal of the sauce and it worked out well. Overall, this was a very good romantic spot to that dinner and a few drinks. Price was not cheap but it was not too expensive either for a good quality meal. Definitely a...
Read moreWe had heard so much about Ichabod's and we were excited to have a nice Birthday party & celebration at this dockside resturant. Little did we know, it would be a very disappointing affair, with an unaccomadating hostess & staff! Many of their tables inside are very high table & stools (which aren't great for ppl. that are phyically disabled or height challenged.) However, nestled on either side of a high table was two "empty" regular sized tables" with 4 chairs each ( which would have seated our entire party.) Instead we were offered one high table on one side & one small table on another side of the room. This certainly is not the desired ambiance or placement arrangement for a Birthday party / celebration. Then the hostess had the audacity to ask us if this was one check, before the seating arrangement was even confirmed!! Never a thought about putting the two small empty tables together!
She never advised us, about their waiting time will be xxx, or if we would like to make ourself comfortable in the outside waiting area - while we prepare for your party? Nothing....! Needless, to say we were incredulously shocked over their totally absent & aloof customer service.
Disappointed, calloused, unpolished & apathic are just a few words that would use to describe our initial experence...
Read moreI came up from West Palm to visit friends who were staying in Indianatlantic from California. We decided to go out to an early dinner close by and found this local bar and grill in a plaza where there were many other food choices. We read the reviews prior to our visit to ensure we would be pleased. I am not a foodie, but I do enjoy good meals and I am in the customer service industry. Our waitress was very nice and pretty quick considering there were only 2 waitresses while were there and they were both very busy. One was servicing the outdoor patio. I ordered their Ahi tuna salad which was actually pretty good. The Ahi itself was a little bland for my palate (I choose this type of salad at many other restaurants). However, there were other veggies mixed in this salad to compensate for the bland tuna. Note, I don't like to use a lot of salad dressing and I appreciated that it was on the side. The only other reason why I give this place 4 stars is because it was too hot to sit outside and the inside was extremely loud due to the high volume of music playing. Even though it was a definitely a bar atmosphere inside, we had to yell at each other while eating our food which was not cool. Note: Happy hour is...
