American Deli — Restaurant in Memphis

I gave 1 star because 0 wasn't an option. The girls working were very rude. We ordered and waited 30 minutes for our food which was terrible. Chicken strips were cold, hard and barely edible. We asked for ice for our drinks and we were rudely told "ain't got none" The dining room had 1 other family in it when we arrived. As soon as they walked out the workers started blarring inappropriate music that our 6 yr old didn't need to hear. We got up to leave and I stopped at the counter to let them know we were not happy customers and we wouldn't be returning and they were all gathered in the kitchen and one of the girls blew her nose on a napkin and continued to handle food without washing her hands. No one ever acknowledged me...

They do more talking and gossiping amongst each other than taking care of customers inside. They stay out of ice, soda machine be bitter you have two sodas to choose from if not them diabetes kool-aid machines🤦🏽‍♀️ They mess your order up, get mad when the cooks burn your food and you ask for recooked food(who burns chicken tenders) be for real?😑 The wait is TERRIBLE❗️ The inside is never cleaned tables, floors and by the drink machine stay dirty. I just stopped eating there I take my baby to Popeyes and slim chicken way faster, cleaner and...

So food was good. Great sized portions and taste was on point. But the workers here extremely sub par. 3 women behind the counter. 1 professional worker. She was the taller worker of the 3. But the other 2.... Curly hair girl, talked in a extremely loud tone. I had the pleasure of hearing about her night with her man. Clapping and just being crazy loud. Not to mention her hitting her vape by the take out window. The the short chicky literally had open back house slippers on. Not kitchen shoes, but house slippers. ...
