American Deli — Restaurant in Memphis

Usually love this location down . I went on Sunday night and it was ON POINT . Returned last night to open my food and saw there was a piece of hair in my food . Went inside to speak to the manager who was in the kitchen, NO gloves or didn't have her hair adequately tied back which of course it was her long piece of black hair in my food . She didn't offer to remake or compensate me . Just a " Oh no , so what do you want me to do" . Naturally since I hadn't eaten all day , I asked for a remake while the two young ladies at the counters made faces at me , laughed and ultimately made fun of the situation . I just don't get how you being funny when I had hair in MY food . Never got an attitude or nothing , just simply asked for my food to be remade . Passed me my plate being snarky and funny . Won't be coming back...

Floor slippery and slick accident waiting to happen when I visited, I had Nike sneakers, with slip resistant still had tip toe out that place praying not to fall. The rice was NOT FRESH it tasted a day old like it, was heated in the microwave and served. Chicken was dry NOT FRESH. I told the Foolish women, the food was not fresh and what she thought was fresh was not fresh for me, so I explained kindly I don't have to eat her un fresh food. I MUST SAY I went over to Japan House sushi & Hibachi is freshly satisfying. American Deli is trash food if you want to keep a healthy gut bypass American Deli on Elvis Presley in Memphis TN. This is my favorite American Deli location! The food is always fresh and the employees are very honest about the food. Their beef Philly and fried rice is very good. If there is a problem with your order the people are very quick to help. I would recommend this location if you like American Deli. I can’t stop coming back lol also it’s pretty fun to sit in the lobby and eat with my kids. They have a great window view of the area. Definitely worth a family night out especially...
