Let's go back almost two years ago when I first made my way here. The service was terrible, food was late and cold, and the place was dirty. Now, two years later i am no longer a Chili's regular. It is my daughter's favorite mom and daughter day spot but we stopped going after that experience. To any Chilis. At all. Anywhere. Now two years later, where does Google Maps direct me to when I cave and say yes to trying Chili's again? The same awful store. And I thought, okay no biggie, two years, it will fine. Oh boy was I wrong. We ordered: chips and salsa, bacon cheese fries half order, awesome blossom petals, and two orders of endless soup and salad. We ordered this all at once. The food arrived as follows: chips and salsa took about 5 mins. We waited. We waited. We finally flagged down our server and asked for one of the table top game devices. We played two full rounds of trivia. We received our soup. We waited. More trivia. We got one salad and the awesome blossom petals. The ceasar salad had no cheese, the petals no longer come with the blossom sauce so we asked for one ranch and one chipotle ranch. We got the chipotle ranch only. We had no opportunity to ask for more as the food was practically drive by delivered. Fine. I am a former server and former bartender. I tried to ask but off the server went. Okay. No worries surely she is gonna be right back with the rest of the meal. We will ask then. Awesome blossom petals are room temp. Whatever. I really wanted that salad any way. Not worth getting upset over. More trivia. Finally my husband gets his half order of bacon cheese fries. Ah ha! A small cup of ranch! I retry the blossom petals. Still cold but better in the ranch. We did try to ask again but it was nearly impossible to say anything over the clunking of the small skillet of fries as it was hurled in passing on our table. Waited. Found out some things I didnt know about dogs (yup, more trivia- category animals, my daughter's pick) finally my salad arrives, a sad salad like it knew it was about to be barely eaten and tossed in the trash. The salad I waited over 30 mins to get from when food first started appearing had two tiny bits of onion, a tbsp of cheese, a sprinkle of diced tomatoes, and some stale croutons. At this time, the server is asking if we want more soup. I say yes out of instinct and add that I am quite upset. I tell her I am a quality training manager. I tell her this is terrible quality. I inform her I train in customer service. That she has not impressed me in a good way. I complain about the order in which the food was brought along with the condition in which it was brought. I say it's either her or the cooks. She says she is bringing out the food in the order it was prepared and offers me her manager. I accept. Manager hears my concerns, as I have explained them here. She doesnt offer so much as an apology. She acknowledges the condition of the sad salad, but doesnt offer me a new one.
Mind you I ordered the endless soup and salad so that is not even giving me anything I didnt pay for. My husband ate his cold fries, my kid didnt touch her cheeseless salad except to stir it. I wanted my salad so badly I still tried to eat it but it was warm... So we tried to pay at the kiosk, bit couldn't cause it was brought late or some other reason that I cant confirm. So, we waited on our check. The server even inquired expecting that the manager had made an adjustment on the check. But no. She came over further embarrassed and gave us our full bill. Which I paid with a 20% tip. Recall I was a server. I was a bartender. I do not stiff the staff. This was top of the line poor service. I mean the whole ordeal. I have three large dogs that are bad about personal space. I would have rather sat on my floor at home trying to eat an uncrustable while they were all up in my face than have spent my money on this painful and upsetting experience. Because at least that would have been...
Read moreUpdate:Went back with a gift card my family was given to try it again. Ordered Hand-Battered Crispers. They were the best my kids had ever had (according to them,) and the portions were large. A little greasy, but they were fried, so not unexpected. Furthermore, they did redo my steak from the post before, the next day (after the visit/post), and the cook did an excellent job. My experience has thus been hit or miss, so I'm upgrading my review to a 4. I would've posted photos of the food that was good, but we ate it, so you'll just have to take my word for it. Corporate management was very helpful. -Thank you
Do not ever eat at this restaurant. My to go order was incomplete, and was late coming out by about 30 minutes. I got home and ate 2 bites of steak, enough to see that the steak was not medium rare, but well done. I had also ordered mango tea, and a chocolate milk for my daughter. The rest of the order was fine, so I'll leave that out. When my kids and I were done eating, minus the steak I had not finished even half of, a very tiny steak, that I STILL did not eat, for the purpose of bringing it back as evidence, I returned to the restaurant with said steak and spoke to Shanna who claimed I had eaten the steak, the steak I had good faith was cooked appropriately until I had had a couple of bites, the steak that I SHOWED her, photos included. It was not much larger than this to begin with. I have no idea how large it was supposed to be as I'd never eaten here before, but I was hungry, so I tried to work with this tiny little steak. I tried.
She reimbursed me for the drinks saying that they had no chocolate milk, even though I had paid for it, and they'd sent me on my way. So tonight. I went to Chili's. I ate two bites of an overcooked steak. I was dismissed by the manager as having eaten said presented steak, and I still didn't get to eat. I didn't get the mango tea I had ordered. Shanna, if you do reply, with your rude civility, after telling me to have a good night. Maybe you don't care about customer service, but I happen to have a higher standard. This experience was substandard. I will never eat here again, and I will be telling my friends, who may or may not tell me I should've known, to also never eat here. I'll go to Huey's next time. Anywhere but here. I would've had better luck at Wendy's. Livid.
*The manager was awful. I have no complaints regarding the other employees. It was busy and I know these things happen, but the overcooked steak issue could have been resolved in a way that wouldn't have...
Read moreIf I could leave ZERO stars and still write a review I would. Worst dining experience ever. No exaggeration. 15 minutes to seat us at a table that was already empty in a not busy restaurant. Order appetizers that we wait over 30 minutes for, for them to be the wrong appetizers. Finally get the appetizers 15 minutes later and have to wait additional time to get plates. Some food comes out 15 minutes later with cold fries and cold sides, none of the condiments and sauces we asked for when we ordered. Tenders with no dipping sauces and such. One meal, a quesadilla explosion salad missing completely, only to come out several minutes later without any chicken or corn salsa, Just a fist full of lettuce some pico and tortilla strips. Had to get the menu to show the staff it was wrong. Not our servers, plural, of course. They were too busy sweeping two tables down and doing whatever in the back to carry our food out and check on us. Salad is taken away and everyone eats what they can without the condiments we asked for politely a couple times. Salad makes it back to the table after everyone has already eaten what they could stomach and we are angry at the point. It is still wrong, we have still not received the condiments we asked for multiple times. We have been more than patient and polite and My husband raised his voice at this point because clearly we were not being heard, apologies were made by your manager but NOTHING was being done or offered to make it right which made us more angry. Instead the manager stood there and scolded us for raising our voices to the staff and treated us like children having tantrums instead of justifiably upset customers. She was rude and incredibly disrespectful and refused to serve us the missing items then proceeded to print off 6 separate checks to pay when we were clearly one party. One of the party was a 10 year old child! Nothing about this night made sense. We were in a nearly empty restaurant for two hours with more than ample staff and had the worst experience. Whatever happened to...
