Guac Fresh Mex — Restaurant in Memphis

We ordered food from here through their own website. Apparently it kicks the delivery over to something called Toast and Uber Eats for delivery.

We called after having changes to our delivery person multiple times and waited two hours for our food. We called the delivery driver and he said they refused to give him the order because "someone already picked it up". We explained it had never been delivered which is why it keeps kicking our order to new drivers. We then found out they never confirmed it was even a delivery person and gave our food to a random person.

When they found this out instead of making it right they told us they weren't remaking the order and we could just deal with it. The guy proceeded to yell it wasn't his problem he gave it to a stranger and hung up on us. They also told us to contact Uber Eats but we ordered it through their website so we don't have any Uber Eats confirmation number. We are now out our money and our dinner and not even an apology from the worker. Completely disrespected and cheated out of our money. This was their fault and they didn't even attempt to correct it. Never ordering...

This hidden gem opened 8 months ago and sits around the corner from Le Bonheur. You’ve most likely driven past without knowing it’s there, but I can promise you it’s serving up some of the best Mexican food in Memphis. The place is sparkling clean, the owners are super friendly and extremely attentive. The menu has all the Tex-Mex hits fairly priced and portioned. Chips were the great, the salsa was so-so but the queso? That queso dip is SPECIAL!!! The carne asada tacos were small street tacos but amazing with perfectly charred steak and fresh pico. The chicken chimichanga was enormous, full of tender seasoned cuts of chicken and smothered with the best cheese dip I’ve ever had. It would’ve been enough for a second meal if I had some self control, but it was just too good! I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to try everything else on the menu. I have a good hunch that their breakfast burrito and margarita is going to make me write another raving review. Keep up the good work Guac Fresh Mex!! Well...

We had a fantastic experience stopping in on a whim while staying in Memphis for one night. I was looking for a place with vegan options- Guac has even more vegan options than the online menu shows. They have plant based chicken, chorizo, and jackfruit carnitas. The owner was very knowledgeable and helpful, offered up vegan cheese which I hadn’t realized they had.

I had the plant based chicken tacos which were authentic and well cooked, the salsa that came with them was delicious. We also enjoyed the free chips and salsa and jamaica agua fresca.

The gentleman who took our order checked in on us multiple times and was so kind. I will definitely be stopping back in on future...
