Dinstuhl's Fine Candies — Restaurant in Memphis

My husband recently gave me an assortment of treats from this company. I admit I hadn’t ever heard of them. I’m not sure how much he spent on them, but I can tell you that the quality of chocolate and produce used in them were well worth it. I’ve had quite a few chocolate strawberries in my life and never have I had one that compares to these. The layer of chocolate is thick, completely covered, and well adhered to the strawberry, inside the chocolate coating is a layer of white, sugary, creamy goodness and then fat, ripe, sweet, juicy strawberries. They are jumbo size, at least three or four bites to finish one! Every time I think back to that box of strawberries I smile and he now knows the quickest way to make my day! The chocolate covered grapes were my second favorite! Fat and juicy as well with the same kind of chocolatey covering. The truffles were my daughters and my mother’s favorite (yes I did share) but were a little on the rich side for me. They are definitely decadent with phenomenal flavor, but it was work for me to finish one. They are HUGE as well! The center was buttery, melt in your mouth rich chocolate-everything you would want a truffle to be, with a small bitter bite of chocolate that most mature women love! The chocolate covered cherries were good. I think if I had just been given them I would’ve rated them higher in my book and heart, but poor things, when included with the grapes, truffles, and strawberries they cannot compare! Men, if you’re thinking about gifting this to a special someone, I say it is most definitely worth the money, ladies if you’re considering indulging and wondering about the splurge, I say GO for it! We used Dinstuhl's during our wedding for delicious favors that we knew everyone would like. While they had certain suggestions for us and popular items that get used for favors, they also have the option to build your own bag with your favorite candies. All you have to do is tell them what you want in each bag and provide them with the ribbon that you want them tied with (this saves them from having to color match and ensures that you get exactly what you want). We provided them with twine, and requested three items per goody bag that were each priced by weight and not by piece. They gave us an estimate based on the number of bags that we wanted, and the final price ended up being very close to what they had estimated (of course, if the items that we wanted had been priced per piece they could have given us a direct price at the time). They packaged everything up for us and it was ready just a few days after we had ordered it. I would recommend this place highly as the customer service was extremely helpful and the candy was of course, delicious. If you're interested in getting them for your event, make sure to contact them ahead of schedule, depending on how demand is for the time of year. For instance, we needed candy for a wedding on Halloween weekend, and we ordered it three weeks ahead...

My family visited this store today. I love their chocolate covered strawberries!!! I do NOT believe in using the race card BUT. As I stood in line behind a young lady, an older white gentleman walked behind me. The older man helping other customers, helped the young lady in front of me..
