Nothing Bundt Cakes — Restaurant in Memphis

Let me first say that I love the cakes here, love the location! however the service yesterday was uncomfortable. A young African American lady was assisting me, Very nice just trying to do her job when she kept being interrupted by another woman coworker. I assume maybe her manager but she wasn’t I believe she called herself Alex. The young lady was trying to show me the types of cakes and Alex kept interrupting her, talking down to her & basically giving me secondhand embarrassment. Then another older lady from the back came and yelled to her were these the cakes the young lady I think her name was charity, chasity, anyway she said yes mam then the lady yelled again I was like didn’t you just say yes. Those ladies were white. Whether they were having a bad day or maybe racism. Employees shouldn’t talk to other employees that way in front of customers. I’ve came in here every week since this location opened so I know the black girl is new but it still shouldn’t warrant the treatment I saw yesterday. I applaud her for still being respectful in spite of their tense aggression...

I just purchased a 10 inch lemon cake for my husband’s birthday (1/24) and the young lady Alyssa was unfriendly. I wanted the #5 and #3 candles they had #5 I asked if they had any #3 she said I don’t think we have it…I asked can you please check in the back and see if there are some. If she wasn’t sure she should have volunteered to look in the back.

She really did not want to look but eventually reluctantly she went to the back. They didn’t have the #3 I asked her another question how much a particular box of candles she said it’s on the box (I looked on the box before asking and the price wasn’t on the box) again she was extremely slow to answer; as if I was disturbing her.

After the transactions (10 inch cake and a box of candles) I had to request a bag again she seemed annoyed. I came in an hour before closing so it wasn’t as if I waited to the very last minute to shop.

I went in to buy a cake. Birthday and Father's Day. I asked for a birthday decoration with the number one dad tag on it as well. I was told that they couldn't do that because the cake decorations are pre packaged. So I asked if I could buy both decoration kits. Yes, I could buy both kits but they wouldn't add the number one dad tag to the cake. I was told that I had to do that myself at home. I asked if they'd bring the cake out so I could stick it in myself then they could wrap it up because I was on my way to drop it off. They wouldn't do that either. Poor customer service. I will never buy...
