I have been a customer here for quite sometime. The employees have always been kind and the cakes always delish. On Saturday, Oct. 31st; I pulled up at 5:55pm. I was planning to purchase 2 personal bundt cakes for my niece's 16th birthday. I also wanted a bundt for myself and one for a friend who was with me. I was not greeted but actually "mean mugged" when I walked in. I am assuming this was because I came in 5 minutes before closing. I order my cakes and was told that it was a holiday (Halloween) and they were not wrapping anymore orders because they wanted to get out of there. I then asked for a manager and asked to have the (2) cakes stacked and wrapped. The Manager (owner) came out to tell me no ma'am we are not able to wrap the cake because we are about to close. I said to this manager "All the time wasted telling me you can't is equivalent to the time it would have taken you to stack to two personal bundt cakes, wrap and put a bow on the wrapping." She could not argue that.... We paid and someone wrapped the cakes and I was in my car at exactly; 6pm. Where is CUSTOMER SERVICE? How do you treat a paying customer this way? They actually turned the lights out on me while I was still in the store. Was getting home to Trick or Treat this important? What in the "strawberry short cake" was that about? I was very disappointed in the behavior of EVERYONE in the store. Do better management. I have sent so many people to Nothin Bundt Cakes on Poplar that it is ridiculous. Read moreI literally just was hung up on by Shelly Black at the Poplar location. First and foremost she lied as if they gave courtesy phone calls on Christmas Eve. Which was a lie. I told her that I could pull my phone records to show this and she then proceeded to back peddle and lie again. I then stated that I tried to call before closing, she then lied again saying that I wouldn’t be able to get through because the phones were off which is lie number 2. I spoke directly to her at 11am and let her know that I would be running late. SHE DID NOT MENTION THE 3PM closing time. I had a big order so there is no need for the order anyone which lead me to request a refund. She then started lying again saying I cancelled the order days later. I have an email for the same day requesting a refund. I then asked for the owner because she became too incompetent and unruly to deal with. She refused to give me the owners name and contact information. Reading other reviews, this has been an ongoing issue especially with customer service. Shelly then began to over-talk me so that I could not get a word out but I did. Once I began demanding the owners information, she proceeded to give me the email that I have already sent an email to and hung up the phone in my face. This will be addressed wit the BBB as well as the consumer business agency. Everyone in the comments aren’t lying. There are other local bake shops that are just as great. Read moreIf I could give them 0 stars I would.I ordered a cake and balloons for my son for his birthday…1st they didn’t have the balloons that was ordered with the cake.They delivered the cake this morning & told me that the balloons would have to come after 12 noon which wasn’t bad so I still wanted them only GOD knows I should have just asked for a refund because they sent their worker out with the balloons & he tied the balloons to a pole outside in knots so now I’m at work while this being delivered to my son for a surprise birthday & my son said they tied the knots so tight that he had to keep his balloons outside on the porch instead of bringing inside!I’m so mad at this company because they had 1 job & nothing was really done proper & not to mention I spook with a so called Mger name Angie & all she could do was kept talking over me & never did fix the problem.And I was a loyal customer but not after today I’m very disgusted with how my child...
