A Delightful Date Night at Marciano's.
My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of dining this past Saturday night, and I must say, it was an experience to remember! We made reservations ahead of time, which I highly recommend, as it was quite the popular spot that evening.
The ambiance was perfect for a romantic date. As for the food, it was absolutely divine. We started our culinary journey with the Seafood Manicotti and Veal Saltimbocca. The seafood was perfectly cooked, nestled in a deliciously creamy sauce, and the veal was so tender it practically melted in your mouth. My date was particularly impressed with the broccoli served on the side – a seemingly simple dish executed flawlessly.
Despite the busy atmosphere, we didn’t have to wait long for our meals, and everything tasted freshly made. To cap off a delightful dinner, we shared a slice of their heavenly tiramisu - a sweet treat that left us both wowed.
The service was attentive and unobtrusive, contributing to the relaxed and enjoyable evening we were hoping for.
From the food to the atmosphere, everything was spot on. Thank you, Marciano Restaurant, for making our date...
Read moreThere's an yet unsolved mystery in the dining scene of Memphis and the surrounding areas - why so very few people know and dine in this wonderful place? Why is it not overcrowded with hungry customers not only on the weekends, but also on every single diner-time part of the evening of every weekday? Marciano is somewhat of a fusion eatery - there are a few Iranian-influenced dishes, reminiscent of what was offered by a nearby (and long closed) Caspian. Otherwise, it's all Mediterranean, leaning towards Italy a bit, and it's all fresh, tasty, diverse, and very well priced. Try ... well, the interesting thing is that you will love any one of their entrees. It doesn't stop there! As opposed to many other restaurants whose menus have one or two well-made dishes that sell the best and thus prepared the most, Marciano has, besides the entrees that are all wonderful, a fine choice of appetizers and pizzas. And every single one of their deserts earned high praise when we booked it last time for a family gathering of 12 people. Very...
Read moreFood: Outstanding at every course (and we had 5 courses): Crabcakes, antipasto, Snapper, Veal, arugula salad, ceasar salad, tiramasu, pecan pie. Each of these items were beautifully presented and tasted so good I had to close my eyes. Honestly, when I tasted the complimentary bread and pesto sauce I knew that we were in for a treat. Service: Very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere: Quaint and private. Would make an amazing place to take a date or the family or for a special occasion like an anniversary or birthday. It cost us $50 a head when all was said and done but we ordered A LOT of food and we ordered the most expensive entrees. One could easily eat here (without drinking alcohol) and be full for under $30. Many of these reviews mentioned that the place was empty. My experience was the same. I do not understand why. Come on Memphians, this place is a gem. Get in there and have one of the best meals of your life at a reasonable price and support a local business that's commited...
