This location of 5144 poplar used to be one of the better locations.
But it was seem to me that now there may be some things that need to be worked on. It would appear that the girl at the counter is having a hard time understanding what the customers are asking for and that might be because of a speaker above her head playing music that is entirely too loud.
But even after repeating my order three times, it's still did not come out correctly.
I asked for the dark meat with sweet sauce.
My two sides were supposed to be a double order of fries.
When I got my order it was not dark meat and it was not sweet sauce. The girl then asked me if I wanted sweet sauce to put on top of it when what she should have asked is can I get you another sandwich made correctly.
Then the fries are not the same amount that we used to get back in the good old days.
But worse than that they were not cooked thoroughly.
And at the end of paying my order she did not give me a chance to use mine points rewards that I have with tops BBQ.
Then I sit down to eat disgusted with what I have in front of me because it's not what I asked for repeatedly three times and then I noticed flies on the windows, food all over the tables and trash all over the floors.
Not to mention the bathrooms a mess too.
It would appear to me that there is a lack of communication amongst the employees.
Also no ketchup in the ketchup bottles.
In my opinion, the owner needs to step in and talk to the manager and rectify these...
Read moreWe ordered a Family 12pack pork bbq(which had a ton of cartlige), a family 6pk of chicken(a lil spicy). NOW, when someone considers a Family Pack (I think)some sides come with that. WELL, it doesn't. You have to order sides separately. Now they have a 6pk of slaw, or beans ..ect..How come everything was packed in 1 large paper sack? Oh I know, so when the girl came to the curb and said everything is in there. REMEMBER, check your food. I suspect a 6pk is going to be enough to feed 6 people. Why did they give me 2 slaw containers(which is enough for 6 people to have a half cup each). But when it came to a 6pk of beans they give you 1 small container(which is enough like 3 tbs of beans per person)? The 6pk banana pudding about 3 tbsp of pudding and I'm not talking about heaping tbsps either? Now they do load you down with a 5 & 1/2 ( yes i said a half, i received a flat side not to mention they were smooshed)hamburger buns and a 12 pack of hamburger buns. They load you down with packs of bbq sauce. Tons of sporks(but why i think i counted upwards of 25) no napkins or plates? I mean i think their portions are quite off. I will be leaving a review. I believe they left off a bbq bean & banana pudding... and topped the sack with buns that'll last decades. REMEMBER CHECK YOUR FOOD. IT was quite tasty though. For all of that pricing is about 108$ but the sides 6pk feeds about 3 people to have a...
Read moreNow, correct me if I'm mistaken, but when meat such as beef, ground beef, etc., has molded, doesn't it typically present with blue, greenish, and grey spots, symbolizing it has either been stored incorrectly or has expired wayway past expiration date? After throwing up my insides outside the gas station shortly after consuming half of the burger, I can attest that it was indeed legitimate mold in my burger. Having frequented this particular location and personally seen all you(the manager) and staff on multiple occasions, it saddens me as a fellow community business owner to experience the lack of care and concern! I just wanted you to see and get rid of the contaminated meat.
I like to maintain a positive and constructive approach, avoiding unnecessary conflict and negative attention. The manager suggested that I was mistaken and that the discoloration was due to packaging. She wanted to assure that the meat arrives fresh every morning. That may very well be true but that doesn't necessarily guarantee that the employees are serving fresh, mold-free meat. Throughout my years, I've never encountered any meat factories or packaging houses that would sell or store meat in packaging paper that could potentially leak into something if that was the case I would think it would be surface level at best. 0 stars for the lack of concern! Ruined my appetite...
