First time coming in, I booked a silk press and trim but when the stylist examined my hair, they refused to do it because my hair was over processed and shedding, which I understood that, and they recommended a deep conditioning treatment, trim and Bob style, which it was way more than I went to spend there given that a silk press and trim was about $70. So, then, I was met with my hair stylist, a young girl and was very friendly, who was assigned to work on my hair but it seemed like she was clearly still in training. Which for some reason, I’m always a target everywhere I book a hair appointment at. I’d prefer someone who knows what they are doing rather than someone in training because I have had bad experiences with trainee’s spending a lot of time on my hair and I’m always spending a lot of money and leaving upset and unsatisfied. The girl who was training the young lady seemed like she knew more and helped her through it, and ended up finishing my hair but she was busy with another client, so she couldn’t do much. The style was cute at the end but it wasn’t what I wanted. Plus, my mom usually does my hair the same way. Had I not been so lazy to take the trip to my moms house, I would’ve saved $135 dollars. I didn’t want to have them to do it over because I had somewhere to be and they said they couldn’t do much to my hair, so I just left it alone, paid the fee and tipped even though I wasn’t satisfied. The same day, I put on a cap to get in the shower and when I got out and took off the shower cap, all the curls fell out and I had to wear a beanie to the event I had planned to go to. Memphis, "Whats hatnin wit it!!?" Just got off the road and I googled "best mens braids with fade in Memphis" and this shop popped up! I called to see if they did walk-ins as I am constantly over the road as a Truck Driver and Yana said "Yes". The lady over the phone was very nice and asked for my email, gave me a great price, and set my appointment. I walked in and I fell into good hands with Janay. Fellas this IS THE SPOT brodie! Say Maneeeee....Janay hit me with the A1 royalty treatment. Just like a King should be treated! Washed, massaged and conditioned my hair. Asked if I wanted any wine or water and sat me under the dryer where I almost went to sleep! The experience felt therapeutic and stress relieving. I wanted Plats but she recommended some options for growing my hair faster and healthier. I normally don't deviate from what I want as far as hair designs go because it's my head. But I felt comfortable with her expertise and allowed her to do what she thought was best. At first I thought she just couldn't braid the plats that I wanted because my hair was too short but I see she was really trying to give me the best advice. No finesse! Terica was very professional and friendly, she asked me the right questions and was able to book my appointment same day...Today🤗 My appointment was with Ms. Kim; professional, nice and friendly. My hair was shampooed by Tamara...Oh she makes your head, scalp and hair feel so good. The entire salon was AWESOME!! Everyone that greeted me staff and clients was phenomenal. I got a Silk Press, Deep condition with ends clip and OMG my hair feels Grrrrrrreat!! I've been completely natural 6yrs and never been Press and I must say this experience was a good one for my hair. I have no damage to my hair just really wanted to see the length and get a good clip(and I did). I will be returning and you should start. They are All good. From your hair to your nails...
