Wasabi Sushi & Asian fusion — Restaurant in Memphis

Was in the Memphis area for the afternoon and felt like trying out a new sushi place for lunch. If you have picky eaters that either won’t eat sushi or raw fish this is a good option because they have plenty of cooked sushi and hibachi style options. The sushi lunch special is reasonably priced and you get two 6-piece maki rolls, miso soup, and a small side salad. The two rolls of my choice were the spicy crunchy crab and avocado & salmon. Both were flavorful, however, a few of mine fell apart while I was dipping them in soy sauce. The edamame, as always, were delicious and I really enjoyed the dressing the use on their salad. So disappointed. MUSHI SUSHI. If you like mooshy sushi, this is your jam. Been looking for another sushi place and this is worse than gas station. They pack them tight in plastic sushi containers. Got 5 different rolls and they put two in one. Picked them up and had to wait although website said 25 minutes so I got them handed fresh and tried in my car before I left. Awful. So expensive for what you get. Will never go back. No texture difference even with the tempura inside. Terrible. Not fresh tasting. No consistency differences. Had to spit out the seaweed on two rolls bc I couldn’t chew...

Delicious sushi! Good happy hour menu. Clean place. Good service. Seating is awkward because it's a super open room with close-together tables and shared extra-long booths. I felt like i was sitting with the people at the table next to us. We listened to their conversation through our whole dinner instead of having our own. I mean, they were approx 2 ft away from us. I thought about asking to move but nowhere looked any more private. At such high prices I expected a bit less of a fast food dining...
