Came over after reading others' reviews.
What can I say? I needed some morning caffeine to cheer myself up but I got rushed customer service and mediocre cafe.
Line was relatively long on a Saturday morning, though it was moving pretty fast. When it was my turn, I politely asked for a bit of time right off the bat cuz it was my first time there and the menu was extensive and there wasn't an option to view the menu while queueing. I stepped aside so that the girl stood behind me could order whatever she wanted if she's ready to order. Though, unfortunately she didn't know what she wanted either.... Did the guy ask the girl to step aside so he could serve the person next? No. But why was I?
The whole experience was off and I definitely felt rushed.
Taste wise, my latte was definitely more to the acidic side, which was expected given the reviews...
Read moreI ordered an iced latte with the single origin beans for an extra dollar and got an unbelievable amount of snark from the barista taking my order who looked at me like I was an idiot for doing so. She could've just told me why it's not worth it for so-and-so reason or just held it in but instead had to make a customer feel like bad for apparently making a bad order. I've never felt so stupid making a coffee order and this is coming from someone who has several years of previous barista experience. Just let people enjoy whatever they want to order instead of making them feel bad about it!
Otherwise, there is plenty of parking and outdoor seating available immediately adjacent to this location. Latte...
Read moreSaint Frank Coffee in Menlo Park is a total gemâcharming, intentional, and clearly run by people who care deeply about the craft. I ordered the flat white with their medium roast, which leaned into a beautiful caramel-chocolatey flavor profile. Silky texture, gorgeous latte art, and made with organic Clover milkâwhich is getting rarer and rarer these days, so I seriously appreciated that.
I also had their almond croissant, which was deliciousâflaky, buttery, just sweet enoughâbut sadly, they donât toast their pastries, which is my only knock. Otherwise, everything about this place hits the mark: all outdoor seating with a relaxed, airy vibe, nice baristas, and a top-tier espresso...
