Bob Evans — Restaurant in Mentor

Typically I love Bob Evans in Mentor, however my last trip for takeout was not very pleasant. When we called to make our order, the woman on the phone could barely hear us and repeatedly asked for us to repeat items on our order. When we went to pick up the food we were told that there was no order made under my name... it took them multiple checks before they realized that they had put the order under "Jill" instead of "Josh." After that mix up, we still had to wait another 15 minutes past the original pick up time because they hadn't finished our order (now close to 45 minutes after we called). While we were waiting I saw the manager go and pack takeout orders without putting his mask on, a woman was working the line and talking over food without wearing her mask, and I saw another woman remove her mask to wipe her nose with her wrist before filling up glasses and taking them over to a table. I'm not typically freaked out about COVID, but the disregard I saw going on with food handling made me not want to go back for a while. WORST BOB EVANS EVER!!! I went to the Bob Evans in Mentor after a ballroom event I had last night. The hostess was very slow in taking our names down and then walked away without giving us anytime frame to be given a table...15 minutes later a waitress asked if we need a table and there was a couple waiting g before us that she ignored. After a few more minutes another waitress gave us a table. The place was not that busy and several waitresses were just standing around doing nothing. The food was mediocre and had to ask twice for more water and a takeout box. Then today my dad thought he might have lost his wallet there so I called and the person answered the phone was rude but he said he would check and put me on hold. 15 minutes later a girl answered and I told her I was looking for a wallet and she stated that someone was looking and she put me on hold for another 15 minutes until the phone just hung up. 3 times I called back and was put on hold. Finally I got the manager and she was very rude when she answered the phone. All I needed was to know if they found a wallet and she acted it was my fault for calling. BAD MEAL BAD...

I would have given them a 5 Star rating. However... I had ordered the Turkey Dinner 3 course meal for Delivery through their web page. For four days in a row. Now lets get started. Everything was fine except to be fair, the chicken noodle soup the first two days had hardly any broth in them. Everything else was fine. Day three the Chicken noodle soup had plenty of broth like it should, but the black pepper was overbearing and made it a chore to eat. It was like hate eating to get it down. Day four... the chicken noodle soup was the same as it was really spicy due to the black pepper being the same. Also they completely forgotten the dinner rolls. I had called the store about this at this point. They had told me that I could come pick up the dinner rolls, but I placed the order for delivery for a reason. I am not able to leave my home. So they offered me a $3 refund and to call in on my next order to add more dinner rolls to the order. It took a little while for the refund, but it was done. Glad to see they honored what they said.
