Tree City Juice and Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Meridian

Wow. I used to work nearby and would fill up my punch card all the time, so much so, that I have a handful of favorites memorized from the menu. I moved away and was so stoked to stop by and grab a peanut butter power. From the outside the only indication that Tree City Smoothies was still in business was the open sign. The doors are covered in tape, the windows have peeling paint and old signage that is cracked. So sad. They always had the coolest, cutest vibrant hand painted windows… Upon entering, I was not greeted. Two sloppy, frumpy dressed gals were working. Literally dressed as if they were at home… in sweats and slippers!!

One took my order and the other made my smoothie. I hate being “that person” because I work in the service industry, but the banana was so chunky and not blended well it kept clogging my straw. I wasnt sure she had put chocolate in it either. I politely asked if they could add chocolate and blend a little more. The gal had such am attitude! It was wild! She put the smoothie on the mini platform without saying a word, rolled her eyes and walked off. I was the only one there too! It was dead!

The lights were only on in the kitchen, I felt the need to ask twice if they were closing already; the counters were dirty, the lobby was so dusty and the place just looks unkept and borderline run-down. I decided to work out of my car…

I’m not sure if this is under new ownership, or this location is under VERY poor management, and the people who work here simply dont care anymore. My husband and I LOVE this place. We are proud of them for following Covid guidelines. We always feel safe stopping by to grab our smoothies and juices. Staff is friendly, smoothies are customizable if needed, they have online ordering, and their pumpkin muffins are DELISH! Their juices are 100% fresh made on-the-spot and you can customize those if you need to. They’ve got ginger/cayenne shots for the immune system, acai bowls, toasted wraps, and a vegetarian version of their breakfast wrap. You can even add boosts of vitamins to your smoothies. I highly recommend this place! Please be kind to the employees, especially during Covid. They work hard and do a good job. We love supporting this...

Not one to post comments but when a bad review goes too far... It's not necessary to make remarks about the way a person dresses and take pictures to shame someone. Reviews are usually a one-sided story. If you'd like to shame someone... then let's talk about why you drank that awful smoothie, Gina, then went back and asked for more, replacing what you already drank and to add more chocolate? I personally wouldn't ask for more of something I didn't like. Customer service is one of the hardest jobs because you can't please everyone. Let's just hope you meet your own standards, Gina.
