We made this our lunch stop since we were nearby. All them 5 star reviews had me intrigued, and I could not wait to try it out myself. We were kindly greeted when we walked in, and we were asked if it was our first time there. Since it was, the employee quickly gave us a sample of the proteins that they had available. We sampled the grilled chicken, tinga, carne asada, and the barbacoa.. Grilled chicken: not for me, it had too much going on. Tinga: had a chorizo flavor to it. I don't like chorizo. Carne Asada: the best! The meat was great! Barbacoa: had no flavor whatsoever. It was juicy but flavorless. I ended up getting two Carne Asada tacos with corn tortillas and my mom ordered one barbacoa and one Carne Asada with corn tortillas as well. We then proceeded to the toppings. My tacos were basic as I only put onions, cabbage, and cilantro on top. I decided to go for the red salsa and the worker went crazy pouring it onto my tacos. We got an horchata and a water cup and our total was about $19. We sat down and dug in. I maybe got two bites in and my mouth was on fire. My tongue and lips were numb. There was no way I could keep eating. I gave my tacos to my mom (her mouth was also on fire) and I chugged the horchata down. I was of course still hungry so I decided to order something else. I went with a Carne Asada burrito with guac only. (Guacamole is extra $$) I then this time around asked to try the green salsa but asked for it to be on the side. I sat down and dug in.. The flour tortilla was really good and I could it alone all day. The meat had alot of chewy pieces in it which i did not like. I found myself digging thru my mouth to take out the chewy pieces. Ew. The burrito is pretty big and can definitely be shared. The horchata was delicious and we did really like the flavor and seasoning of the Carne Asada. It was kinda hard to hear the employee over the window when ordering, and we noticed that we weren't the only customers who couldn't hear her. I wasn't too impressed and didn't see the hype. Maybe will be back to try out their hot dogs! Three starts because that chewy meat was a no for me. The employee was friendly though.

After a long day of business building, strategic planning and presenting business plans my coworker and I were hungry for delicious burritos. (Is there ever a bad time for burritos?) Right across the street from our office is Carne Asada, a fairly new spot in our hood. We walked in a at 8:30pm (9pm close) and were welcomed with a friendly hello from the young woman behind the counter. On approach she asked us if we’d been there before. She showed us the quality meat selection and Being that we were in Carne Asada we chose just that. She offered all types of fresh ingredients and arranged it perfectly on our tortilla to make a perfectly rolled, tight burrito. The meat, the beans and the tortilla were delicious and fresh. The salsa could have been spicier but I also like it very hot. When we were done were were completely satisfied and chatted with the manager who explained that it was a family business ad that they all shared responsibility in the restaurant. It’s a great place. It’s fast, good price ($7 for a huge burrito) and friendly staff.

Best authentic Mexican food I have EVER had in Arizona! I have been living in Arizona for 24 years and I have tried a lot of Mexican restaurants and I could never find any that taste like Mexican food. I was surprised to finally find one that actually does taste like real Mexican food. The carne asada and chicken are cooked on a charcoal grill, the toppings are freshly cut and the horchata here is freaking amazing! 😋😍They make the horchata from scratch, they don’t use those powdered horchata packages like other places do. The Tortilla here taste amazing and especially the soup. Most important thing that I admire is that everything here is kept very clean including the grill, the counter, tables, floors and bathroom. Food is not cross contaminating each other either. The owner Lio definitely cares about the quality of his food and satisfying his customers by not disappointing them . I had 3 sample tacos and I was full. That’s how you know the food is good. I’m defiantly returning here again every time I need real Mexican food.
