Overall combination of my experience was just okay/awkward. The drinks themselves are pretty good, but it's kind of hard to say that anything is really worth $7.50+ for one drink in my opinion.
Not to mention that when paying, there's no "no tip" button, trying to make tipping mandatory (?). I tried doing "custom tip" for no tip but the cashier saw me typing on the screen, asked me if I was doing custom tip, to which I said "yes" and she said "okay, let me reset it for you" meaning that the custom tip button doesn't work I'm assuming?? In the end I just asked her if I could do no tip, and she selected that for me on her side of the machine.
They call their smallest size a "large" and their larger size an "extra large" but the "extra large" is taller and narrower, so I doubt you're actually getting That much more drink than in their "large" (smallest size) size cup. I got a vanilla black tea with cheese mousse (#T9), and my size upgrade cost 93 cents. My friend got a brown sugar drink (#1 I believe?) and his size upgrade cost $1.50 (definitely not worth it imo).
Then, I don't know if the cashier intends to come off this way, but the way she was talking kind of sounded really passive aggressive, with a little bit of sarcasm in her voice. It made me feel like I was stupid for even ordering from her lol. Even the girl who gave me my drink was nicer to me than the cashier.
If this review was for the drinks only, I'd give 4-5 stars, really nice drinks. But of course this review is due to a combination of things. I'm a person who likes sweet so the drinks were perfect to my friend and I, but note that you can't change the sweetness and ice levels so if you're someone who's on "asian sweetness" levels and doesn't like sweet, you probably won't like their drinks lol.
Maybe I would come back occasionally every now and then, but definitely not often. I wish them the best of luck and congratulations on their opening though :-) Hopefully the customer service will be better the next time I come.
P.S. it is hot in there but that didn't bother me that much since I was...
Read moreI drink boba all the time and this was the worst by far. I expected better especially because there are so many boba shops around here and the quality of the Thai tea is horrible. Does not taste like how it should it tastes water down. Cashier did her job but didn’t care about customer satisfaction. I’ve worked at a boba shop so I know how it’s like and I forgot to ask for less ice and when I told the girl less ice and she didn’t make my drink yet she only had the ice in the cup and THE CUP WAS FILLED WITH ICE TO THE BRIM and she only got rid of a few ice cubes?! Horrible. Didn’t even ask if that was okay with me. The Thai tea taste bad right off the bat from the first sip right away. Even canned Thai tea taste better than this. I paid so much for bad quality. Expected more especially from a shop that collated with hello kitty as well. And the matcha drink does not taste good either, the matcha tastes weird and grainy. As you can see on the straw she did not mix the drink well. Even Starbucks matcha taste better. Honestly the matcha doesn’t even taste like matcha and I cannot taste the cheese foam either. I basically paid for a cup of ice and no product. Also too much boba than should be. Please do better and care about customer experience and ur own products. Also I forgot to mention the girl was not welcoming either and seemed like she didn’t want to be there. And when I asked her about the ice she looked irritated and over it. I asked her nicely too. Honestly with her attitude it seemed like she just didn’t want to deal with brewing more Thai tea
No where to sit and wait for drink, no garbage cans either to throw plastic...
Read moreI've been to a lot of boba shops around the valley and felt hesitant to check this boba shop based on the recent reviews about poor customer service and the quality of drinks being bad, but I figured why not check the place out for myself. Unfortunately, my experience was negative. Right when I walked in, I said hello and was just given a blank stare by the cashier. I asked what they reccomended since it was my first time there; the cashier, with attitude, told me to just look at the menu. I started feeling uncomfortable, it felt like I was a burden just by being there. I decided on an extra large Matcha Black Sugar Boba Milk With Cream Mousse. This is the first boba shop I've been to that didn't have any chairs or tables, so I stood and waited. When I received my drink, I noticed they gave me a hot cup, which meant I was unable to see how my drink looked. This confused me since the photos I've seen for this place, a plastic cup is used, so you're able to see the boba and how the drink looks. Instead of poking my straw through the top, I peeled off the paper top/lid to see how it looked. It was mainly ice! I drove down the road to QT and poured the drink into an empty QT cup, and there was hardly any liquid/boba, just large ice cubes... for a drink that costed $8.50, I felt robbed. I wouldn't reccomend this place to anyone, there's plenty of other boba shops that not only greet you, but actually make the boba drinks for less and they aren't filled to the...
