My experience ordering here was a bit tedious. I ordered here making sure the ETA was within the time before I had to go to work. I made sure I had enough time to eat some pizza with my family before going to work. They estimated 30 mins which was perfect for me. So, after waiting 1 hour and still no pizza. I called the store just to find out that "the pizza just went out the door." I explained that they are 30 mins over their ETA and they said they were running behind. Since this houses isn't but 7 mins away I expected my pizza within the next 10-15 mins of that call. Another 30 mins went by! I called again and they said "the driver is having trouble finding your apt, he is by the office" I also explained when I ordered that my apt building was the second building to their right after entering the gates and its on the bottom floor for easier finding. I live close to the office so I went outside and there was no one by the office. So after waiting 10 mins outside I called again. The manager on the phone said the driver returned to the store because he didn't have my contact info on him to call me to meet at office. At this point I was "hangry" I asked her "who took my order because I gave her all the necessary information and then some to get the delivery right." She didn't answer me she just said the "order is on the way" so about 40 mins after that call the pizza was finally delivered! The driver said "I was knocking and nobody answered earlier" which was a total lie because my family and I were in the living room the whole 2hr and 30 mins waiting for our pizza. On top of that we were of course delivered COLD pizza and wings. And I was late for work. But despite being super late and super cold after reheating the pizza it wasn't bad. There food was a 8 but service was a hard -3. Hopefully in future orders I will get better luck. Not giving up on hungry howies because of one bad experience. Their food was good enough to bring me...
Read moreCan someone please make sense of this. Ordered a pizza last night & it was delivered wrong. Ordered Pepperoni & it showed up Cheese only. I called to let them know. Sorry she said we can make you another one but I will need the wrong Pizza back, or I can offer you a 10% discount on your next order. My reply: 10%??? That's $2.00 off my order how is that fair? This is your mistake / I've paid for Pepperoni & the best you can do is offer a $2.00 off on my next order!!! Her reply: yes My reply: I'm not asking for a free pizza but $2.00 off? how is that fair? When I'm the one who didn't get what I ordered or paid for. You are now asking me to wait another 30-35minutes for a replacement OR a $2.00 discount the next time. So ya bring me a new pizza which ultimately costs you at minimum $12-$15 by the time you add up everything (minimum breakdown) $4.00 New Pizza 3.00 for wrong Pizza (that had to be given back upon delivery of the new Pizza) so what...it could be thrown away - ok that's genuis....Not!! 5.00 Driver to re-Deliver it 2.00 for the Gas to get here 1.00 for wear & tear on car & insurance
Then add an additional $10.00 for the time the customer had to wait for their food. (Based on the new minimum wage law)
Total loss of $25.00 for a $20.00 Pizza.
Offering a reasonable discount of 40-50% Or $10.00 off your next order for the inconvenience to YOUR customer would have been a better option & your customer would return. That may have been a better deal all the way around don't ya think?
Hungry Howies your manager is a genuis....NOT!!! WOW-...
Read moreIt's been something like 5 years since the Hungry Howie's in our neighborhood closed and was replaced with an Asian take-out joint where the manager flat-out refuses to instruct the cook to start making delicious flavored-crust pizzas with super-tasty toppings no matter how many times I threate.... ummm, no.... I mean, no matter how many times I CALMLY SUGGEST the idea. And then as soon as the screami.... errrrr..... meant to say as soon as the "playful banter" is over (and it happens EVERY time) everyone in the entire place simultaneously turns toward me and glares at me the same way I look at my dog when I discover she has pooped in my favorite shoes again for the 11th time...... this week. Wow! I really got off the subject this time, huh?? Yeah, so we missed our Hungry Howie's for far too long until we happened to be driving up Val Vista and decided to grab some pizza to bring home to share with our hostag..... Sheesh! I mean HOUSEGUESTS. Of course that's what I meant. We ordered a veggie-only pie with garlic crust, one with pepperoni and cheese-stuffed garlic crust, and some stuffed bread sticks. I gotta tell ya- it was even BETTER than what I remembered. Deeeeelishus! And the associate that rang me up was polite, cheery, and very helpful. He even handed me some more paper plates to replace the original ones that I had clumsily dropped and then scattered all over the store. So thanks to all the Hungry Howie's employees that are involved in making the yummy pizza that is gonna keep us coming...
