I tried this place 3 times hoping that it would get better, and it seemed to only get worse. They douse their wings in a massive amount of sauce, so much that you can't eat them without making a mess... and scrapping the sauce off is even more messy. The second time I went there I asked if they had any boneless wings, the lady said "yes, they are the same price as the regular wings". I said "okay, I'll take 10 with minimal sauce". Once the order came back, not only were the wings not boneless but the amount of sauce was the same as the first time I was in. I asked her why are they not boneless, and she responded with that she thought I was just asking if they had boneless wings. The 3rd and last time I was there (2/6/2015) I went in and asked the same thing as before "Do you have any boneless wings", I ask this because they are not on the menu. She responded with the same exact thing as before"yes, same price as the regular wings". I proceeded to say that I will take 10 and to PLEASE be light on the sauce. Once again the order came to me the very same way with regular wings and a ton of sauce, asking again why with her responding with "I thought you were just asking if we had boneless wings".
To the girl that served me... No, I am not just asking if you have something just to order something else. The amount of insert menu item here that I am ordering is most likely the very same menu item that I was just previously asking if you had. If for whatever reason there is a doubt in your mind that I switched it up on you, then please ask. She offered to get me another plate but honestly I hate doing this, which was why I waited until the 3rd time trying the place out to...
Read moreI just came from this restaurant as of today December 3,2023. This restaurant as far as on the inside is nice and clean however I really want to call the health department on the staff themselves. There were two ladies in the front taking orders and as you know the staff in the back(An older lady and two gentlemans). I literally witness one of the ladies in the front. Go grab a cup, go to the soda machine get herself a soda, wipe down and straighten up the station a little bit. Then go to the register start taking orders and then WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS AT ALL moves to bagging and full fledged palm these people fries while bagging the items. She then proceeded to take more orders as they started to get a little busy WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS. The second cashier hops off the register also going straight into bagging food WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS. Second girl did try not to touch the orders as she was bagging them however its the principal. You are a restaurant, design to make people food and you're not being healthy nor sanitary by touching the register, touching the soda machine and surrounding areas and then proceed to touch peoples food. After noticing that I started to pay more attention to the staff in the back and they had on gloves. However they had on the same pair of gloves while making multiple orders, touching the ready bell, touching the clocking button, touching the pizza spatula etc etc. WHILE using the same gloves to make more orders. They never changed gloves. The restaurant may be pretty but scream major health validation....
Read moreMy first and only trip to Long Wong’s felt like I stepped through a wormhole and landed in in the early 90’s. It’s just a hunch, or maybe a hypothesis, but I’m betting the owner hasn’t eaten at another restaurant aside from his own since then.
It’s impossible to overstate how greasy and flavorless my steak sandwich was. Which, is pretty impressive, since fat and oil tend to provide some modicum of tasty goodness. But no, not here, not at Long Wong’s. Somehow, against all odds, they made cheap and fatty fried food that doesn’t taste good. I think their grill guy/gal ran out of salt prior to our arrival. Don’t even get me started on the unmelted Kroger shredded cheese on top. lol wut?!?
And the garlic Parmesan wings? More like wings dunked in a jar of store bought Alfredo sauce. Astonishingly bad.
Finally, the restaurant itself. It’s 111F outside and their AC is broken. They’ve got a swamp cooler blowing my hair all over my face, and a couple of shop fans at full blast. Whoever painted the murals and signs was clearly operating on the same minuscule budget as the poor patrons who frequent Long Wong’s, except surprisingly, the prices here reflect a level of quality that is clearly absent.
Post-Covid prices, meet 1995 small-town diner quality. Come on down to Long Wong’s where you’ll quickly...
