I visited Whataburger (Broadway & Dobson Rds in Mesa, AZ) today 4/18/21 at about 11:45 a.m. What a mistake! I was a dine-in customer and waited about 30 minutes for my order. After that long time, my order came and it was messed up plus the fries were cold. During my wait time, I observed that almost nothing was coming out to dine-in customers. When they finally received their order it was also wrong. One guy who had called in for pickup waited outside for 20 minutes and then came in to get a refund. The young man who was the cashier must have been interested in something but it was not doing his job. I had to ask for a cup for my drink order. In addition, the employees walked around with no energy and looked somewhat like zombies who would rather be somewhere else. In the meantime, the manager was locked in the little room and had no idea about what was going on and apparently did not care. After she came out to handle the guy"s refund, she quickly ducked back into the manager's office. I have visited this restaurant many times over the years but today was the most negative experience of all. So - - I will not be returning. There are simply too many burger and fries places to put up with this. Read moreEDIT: If I could give this location negative stars, I would. I ordered delivery through the whataburger app. The app did not give me the option to NOT order from this location. So my "third visit" - I received a burger without toppings or sauce, or salt. This location tries really hard to make you never order from Whataburger again. How do you get 3 out of 3 orders WRONG?
Two separate visits: The first one I had to wait more than 40 minutes after arriving at the requested time to receive my online order, and they got it wrong. Multiple other people walked in, ordered, and got their food before my online order was ready. I checked with them every 10 minutes and it still took more than 40 AFTER waiting the estimated 20 minutes from placing order before arriving. An hour! For a meal that WASN'T as ordered!
The second visit I went through the drive through, repeated my order request when ordering, repeated it at the window.... then had to pull into a parking spot and wait for the order... and they still got it wrong.
Don't bother. Go to a different location, unless you feel like waiting longer than other locations for the order being wrong anyway. Waste of...
Read moreThis Whataburger is hit or miss whenever I visit and today was definitely a MISS.My Famy came in today this afternoon around 12:30pm the cashier was nice and helpful took our order and we sat down at a dirty table,My wife and I love there Tea but not this time,it was rotting as you can smell it.secondly we received our order and as we started eating my Wife said "look at my burger".....THE MEAT WAS MISSING!!!!I came up and nicely addressed this to the cashier and she was shocked that we received the burger this way as she let her team members know no one seemed to care and after two minuted the manager came up and asked me what was wrong I showed him the bread with a slice of cheese and some pickles on it and they put the beef on the bun. There was a tall young man working the grill back there and I think he purposely done this for whatever reason..after I sat down I started to eat my fries and half the fries were these TOOTHPICK FRIES(PICTURE BELOW)hard fries that. Actually are hard as toothpicks,Which should never be in a customers Fry container.lastly I will never go back to this Whataburger and I hope upper management fixes the issues with this...
