A Joyful Celebration
The atmosphere was vibrant and filled with excitement as the waiter made the evening even more special by walking around the dining area with a basket of beautiful red envelopes 🧧. I was thrilled to pick one, and to my delight, I won $2.00! This fun and festive touch truly enhanced the joyful spirit of the celebration.
Warm Welcome and Quick Service
I arrived at the restaurant around 9:15 PM, just before closing time due to the Chinese New Year festivities. The friendly waiter informed me that they would be closing at 9:30 PM, but I was genuinely grateful that they welcomed me in at such a late hour. Their willingness to serve me made me feel valued as a customer.
Delicious Fish Skewers
I decided to order the fish skewers, and let me tell you, they were nothing short of amazing! The flavors were vibrant, and the dish was beautifully presented. The broth that accompanied the skewers was equally delightful, enhancing the overall experience. I was so impressed that I wished I had more time to explore the menu further and try additional dishes.

Food: always pretty solid here. I come here often and most dishes are wins! We got the Chongqing spicy crispy chicken, Mongolian beef, General Tso's chicken, beef stir-fried noodles, fried liver, cucumber w garlic sauce (forgot to take a pic of this one), chicken wings in dry pot and pork ribs with chef's special spices. I liked all the dishes but I'd probably skip the beef noodles and General Tso's chicken. There was nothing wrong w them, but they just weren't to my tastes. My favorite dishes were the crispy chicken, liver, and cucumber w garlic sauce. I also liked the dry pot as well. Please note the dry pot is HUGE! I'd say 2-3 people can probably share it.
Service: honestly it was a little bit spotty and we had to flag our server down for water refills, but other than that, it wasn't bad. We had a six person table, so I imagine it was a bit overwhelming for the server. She was nice though.
Ambiance: it wasn't too busy for lunch and the place was clean. It's a casual atmosphere, so don't expect anything fancy, but it's a good Chinese spot w no frills. They play Cantonese pop in the background (or what sounds like it).
Overall thoughts: I always generally enjoy my food here! And this time was no exception. We all left full and happy. Please note that groups of six or more are automatically charged a 20% gratuity. We sat down I was trying to show my friend what a good place this was , was is the answer the waitress shouldn't be one she was horrible I asked for drinks and asked about a drink I had the last time I was here and my friend said something and the waitress snapped at her like don't interrupt. Then I asked if I could get a house fried rice that I've had at other Chinese restaurants it has egg and beef and shrimp and chicken and ham. The last time I was here they made it for me this time new people and tried to charge me 5.00 each meat and 2 for the egg. The last time they charged me 7.00 extra to make it. This time it's 17.00 more on top of the 1399.00 plate you chose first. just because it looks like they just made up the price as the waitress asked the cook, who looked at me and then made up the price, and because I'm not Asian they hit me with this. If I had not been here a few times to eat I may have accepted that it was just a price increase but the way the waitress acted like she was put out to serve me because she didn't like the fact I'm white. She is the most horrible waitress I've ever experienced. Maybe she should just clean and not have contact with customers especially white people.dont come here...
