The restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations. Many dishes seemed to rely on pre-made bases rather than being made from fresh, authentic ingredients. For example, the tom yum soup had the expected flavor notes, but it tasted more like it came from a flavoring base rather than fresh lemongrass and herbs. One of the hallmarks of great Thai food is its use of fresh, aromatic ingredients, and that was noticeably missing here.
The add-ins like shrimp and mushrooms were of good, but the overall dish was let down; something you can make at home with asian store ingredients; missing the restaurant magic. The takoyaki was also a disappointment—soggy and seemingly microwaved, though nicely presented.
I was surprised by the glowing reviews, which led me to try this place. In my experience, there are other restaurants in the area with better kitchens and more...
Read moreWe got a chance to try this place out for lunch, thankfully we avoided the rush and got to eat peacefully while taking in the vibe and chatting with our server. I loved my personal hotpot. I'm glad it was customizable to my dietary requirements and preferences which didn't come at the cost of inconveniencing the group. Normal hotpot experiences you have to always bend to the group. I got to enjoy a delicious and filling soup. Here, I got to eat my soup just the way I like (with leftovers) as well as try some bingso too! Bingso is delicious. I'd say it's a mix between kakigori (shaved ice) and ice cream. You can add as much condensed milk and mango syrup as you like. The 'ice' is fluffy and didn't hurt my sensitive teeth. It felt like I was eating a light, shaved ice cream. Highly recommend it as a refreshing...
Read moreI was so happy with how delicious and fairly priced the food was! We ordered the thai sukiyaki hot pot in medium spice and tom yum hot pot in high level spicy. For dessert we had the strawberry bingsu, which was perfectly sweetened and full of fresh fruit.
Throughout the course of the meal, food came out promptly and service was very attentive. I was saddened when the owner told me about how she feels sad when customers come in and look a little skeptical because they are not as busy as other more established hot pot places. They have been open for 3 months and I feel like I've missed out not eating there before my first time today. I can't wait to come back and try everything...
