Rolberto's Taco Shop — Restaurant in Mesa

We are a regular customer here, the service used to be good and the food. Until today employee changed I think! The new guy was so rude and not giving his name and claimed that he was the manager which I doubt. This was one of our favorite place to order a Mexican good. We come here almost every week for dinner to order a take out. Today is 03/17/2024 time we went there to order the chimichanga plate (beef) was 5:30 to 6:00pm. We came home and started eating our food, we found no beef inside and mostly just peppers, onions and beans and just a wrapper when we sliced it in the middle! We called and the guy was so rude and hung up the phone on us and asked us to never come back! He is new. This is the 1st time we see him there, he's description is Hispanic heavily tattooed guy mid or late 20's. The regular employee were a Mexican lady or the Mexican bald guy was very nice and probably in 40's of age. Owner of this place needs to get those employee back and remove this very rude guy. The food sucks and the service was terrible. We like the old employees. We will give the same review on all the business review platform, not trying to ruin this business but we just want the owner to notice this and take action. Better to take 1 bad apple than to ruin the whole...

Still the Best Carne Asada Fries on Main st. They use Crinkle Cut fries which all come out perfect: not too soft, not too hard. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Better then Filibertos.

Paid $13.00 plus tax, which came out to $14.83. I think I was charged extra for using a card. I had thought she said $14.08 originally. That would mean 75 cents extra. That is something completely unnecessary that they don't do at other places. It's also the reason this review is not 5 stars. I would have preferred to have been told.

Decent amount of Steak, Cheese, and good quality. Steak wasn't burnt or too chewy. Just as good as Filibertos, maybe better. Enough to fill you up, and still a good deal in this economy. Red Sauce not as good as Filibertos, Green Sauce was really good.

Service was quick, and they got my order right. I asked for just Steak, Cheese, and Fries. To get the most out of the fries I recommend eating it there on the outside benches if you don't live nearby. No one else was there, which for me is great. Only drawback was the flies that kept bothering me. Bring your own drink if you eat here, and ask for a cup...

. The cashier charged my card $41 on a $10 order. I ordered 2 carne asada tacos and a drink and the total was around $10 the cashier takes my card and hands my a receipt with a pen and tells me to sign. Well he hopes I don't look at the receipt but I do and see he charged me $41!! I immediately ask him why he overcharged me and he says oh it was just a mistake. No it was not a mistake he did it on purpose hoping I would sign the receipt without reading it so he could pocket an extra $30. I examined the receipt instead of entering in my order he manually charged the card for $41. He then charged me the correct amount of $10. I now have $50 in charges on my card for 2 tacos. I will be reporting this charge as fraud with my bank and I will be refunded. Also the Carne Asada tacos were the worst Ive ever had. The meat was super low quality and had no flavor and was very hard. This is seriously the last place I would ever go to eat. They will steal from you and the food is terrible. Karma will find you!
