We came here for my mom's birthday the atmosphere was great the music was wonderful our server on the other hand forgot our table we waited an hour and 22 minutes for our food... when I ask her" When is the food coming out? "she said in 12 minutes .. " my mom ask for a manager.. she came out very defensively said "the food order was only in for 30 minutes. She did not understand why we where complaning" In reality it was longer.. we have been waiting for our food for 48 minutes.. THE SERVER COMPLETELY FORGOT TO PUT OUR FOOD INN!! I watched people that came in after me.. leaving.. I watched another table that came in after us that sat next to us get their food... and we where still waiting for ours... understand mistakes happen I was a server at one time... however for the manager to chomp my head off because I told her she forgot about the table.. her time stamps where inaccurate... the restaurant does not have ahandheald machine to automatically send to the kitchen.that timing was inaccurate that was showing when the server put it into the kitchen... my GPS on my phone had my time stamp from when I arrived and left... ended up leaving because we never got our food!!!! That was the whole point why where asking where was our food. We ended up going to Charleston's.. I prefer supporting small locally owned businesses however attitudes like that is the reason why I ended up going to a...

My boyfriend and I went to il Vinaio for the first time on Father's Day. I am celiac, he is gluten intolerant, and we were excited that they had a large gluten free menu. We told the waitress we were both GF and asked for GF menus. We also talked to her about being GF free before ordering. We ordered the GF Classic Bruschetta for an appetizer and GF beer. About halfway through the second piece of bruschetta, I started feeling like the bread was not GF. We called the waitress over and sure enough, she did not order it GF. Consuming gluten if you are celiac can be life threatening so this was not a simple mistake! She apologized and said it was because she was so busy but it was only us and one other larger table in the entire restaurant. The service was slooooow and I started feeling pretty sick so we asked for our entrees to go so we could go home. She apologized again and said she would comp the bruschetta which should be expected. Although they have a large gluten free menu, be very careful if you eat there and confirm with each dish that it is, in fact, gluten free. I normally do ask, but this time, I assumed the waitress understood and was fully aware. Never again! For entrees, I ordered the spinach and fig salad and my boyfriend order the mussels with GF pasta. Both dishes were very underwhelming and neither of us finished them. Such a disappointment on a special occasion! We definitely...

I first went to this restaurant with girlfriend, We met in Mesa and chose this restaurant. We were like the first ones there on a Thursday kinda of happy hour and my meal of Chicken Saltimbocca and cesar salad was delicious. I was all excited to take my boyfriend there so the next weekend off we went. Well to say the least what a disappointment... I guess if you are dining there on a Friday evening you better be a "member" We were seated and were somewhat early arrivals. Rude greeting, something about you should have made a reservation - There was two tables seated, Then after we were seated like four tables came in after us. I did not receive my glass of wine until they were all served, then... our food came an hour later, again after everyone else was served and Asses kissed. cuz i guess they are the regulars, We felt ignored - I ordered the same thing the Chicken and salad, my man had the Shrimp Linguine, He was very disappointed and barley ate his dinner, I have to say my Chicken dish was tough and not like the first time. I guess when your trying to recreate something or a nice experience it always fails. So an expensive night for a ho hum disappointment of a dinner. I was hoping for a better experience and a place for a family home cooked meal but with the attitude and the food that night sorry to say they lost me...

The experience I had at Il Vinaio was a mixture of the good, the bad, and the ugly. Let's start with the good: -Decor -Prices Next, the bad: -Service -Hospitality And the ugly: -Cleanliness -Disgruntle Employees First of all, the food was ok for the price. For a $10 sandwich at lunch it wasn't bad at all. Nothing to write home about or to complain about. However, the server was not very hospitable. Instead she was chippy, and short with us on almost every one of our engagements with her. The couch that we were seated at was uncomfortable and very dirty. Like it hasn't been vacuumed, let alone professionally cleaned in some time. And to make matters much worse the employees were openly arguing at 2 different points during our time there and had a sit down rant about some issues plaguing their work place. There was talk of how the pork was in "decent shape" but that the meat was "chewy" unfortunately. Which I hadn't noticed until the cook himself had pointed it out. And if he wouldn't have pointed it out I wouldn't have noticed. But again, the prices for a sit down, table service lunch, saved the day for this restaurant. Not to mention, the fact that most of the glaring errors at Il Vinaio are correctable. Change your employees poor attitudes and lackluster attempt at cleanliness and you have a return worthy restaurant.

I'm really baffled why this place has such good reviews. I had looked to see if they accepted reservations online, but I couldn't find any way to on Yelp or their website; so we rolled the dice. When we walked in the host/server asked us how many, I said 4. Quick on the server's heels was the manager. She asked if we had a reservation. I said no that I couldn't find a place to do it online she replied, "You have to call". Would be nice if their website indicated that. She then proceeded to tell us they were short staffed and would try to squeeze us in. I looked around the restaurant and there were 2 tables with people. We should have turned around right then and there and walked out. Our server took us to a table near the kitchen. A few minutes later there sounded like an argument between the manager and the chef. Again, we should have got up and left. We went ahead and ordered thinking all the reviews that ranted and raved about how good the food was would make up for the weird start. Sadly, the food was just meh. Very bland and nothing special, but on the expensive side The lobster Mac and cheese was horrible, especially at $23. I would never go back here again!

I was excited to eat here after seeing many people talking about it on Facebook. I couldn't be more disappointed in my experience. I eat gluten free and they have a big menu of gluten free available dishes. I like to eat whole foods, meat, fruits and veggies, etc, so my only options were a shrimp appetizer and entrée of steak with potatoes and a Veggie. The shrimp was so basic and nothing special. I could have made the same thing with a sauce from Trader joe's. The steaks were cooked well to a medium rare, but had no flavor. Same with mashed potatoes, both garlic and green chili had no flavor. I couldn't even eat them. The whole ambience is lacking. The whole building needs an upgrade especially the bathrooms. The floor had many layers that are falling apart and nasty yellow tiles on the walls, but they put some flowers next to the sink. I went on a Saturday night, and there were two other tables seated in the whole restaurant. One other table was seated while we were there. Our waitress seemed high, mumbled, and needes more training. She also said they only have one cook that day, on a Saturday night... so I guess they are used to being slow
