I ordered a toasted cheddar chalupa box (with soft taco instead of hard), 3 beef burritos, and a small hand full of mild taco sauce online as a guest, so there was an order number/wasn't under a name. I am sick with COVID like symptoms, so I sent a friend to pick up my order. When she got there, she showed the employee the order number and said she was picking up for a friend. The employee told her "We can't understand you but we can't tell you if anyone has picked up that order." My friend has a speech disorder and because the employee couldn't understand her, she went to pull down her mask just enough so they could hear her and they rudely demanded her to put it back on. When my friend gets back, she explained what happened. I then call the restaurant and ask their side of the story. Their story was a little bit different. They told me that she came in and they couldn't understand her and they couldn't "just give out any food to anyone" and they said she allegedly walked out while they were "trying to get the manager for her". She wouldn't do something like that. I then send her a second time to get my food and asked her to have them replace the food since it had been sitting so long because of their lack of problem solving skills. When she got back to the house, she said the manager stated "it's not our responsibility to make sure you get here on time/when you say youre going to be here" (which it is when you cant figure out what someones saying while showing you an order number)"well replace it just this one time only. My friend then asks for the mild taco sauce and they started giving her an attitude and didnt give her any. When she got back and told me that, I was furious, because thats the only way i can keep taco bell down. I called them again to make sure there wasnt going to be any problems if i send her a third time to get taco sauce, which i had to go (sick) because those two trips triggered her asthma and right before i left i double checked the rest of my order and they gave me a hard taco instead of a soft, so when i got to the store, i gave back the hard taco and asked for the mild sauce. i told the employee how upset i was that i had to come to the restaurant for taco sauce and to correct my order because by the time i got back home my food would be cold and that is exactly what happened. So i couldnt and ended up not eating dinner last night after literally spending the last $9 to my name. I will never go back to this taco bell again. ive never had problems with them? they need to give Ceasar more hours, because he genuinely cares about the customers. I might actually start taking my business to del taco. their food is better anyway. and they treat customers with...

taco bell This is what happened when I ordered six of Taco Bell's most iconic menu items. Crystal Cox/Business Insider I'm a die-hard fast food fan, from burgers to chicken sandwiches and everything in between. I also love Tex-Mex and Mexican food and have been known to indulge in a taco or two a week. Then how, you may ask, is it possible that I've never once been to Taco Bell? I asked myself the same question and decided to try out the fast-food chain for myself. The chicken quesadilla proved to be the standout item, along with the famous Crunchwrap Supreme. I also found the Mountain Dew Baja Blast to be the perfect complement to my meat-and-carb-filled bounty. Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.
I am a self-proclaimed fast food and Mexican food lover who's never been to Taco Bell. Yes, you read that correctly.
It's not that I've never been tempted to try out the California-based chain — its cheese-filled burritos have proven an irresistible siren call to many friends in the late-night hours. I, however, have never tried it.
Finally, after 22 years of narrowly avoiding the fast-food establishment, I decided to give it a try and order some of the chain's most iconic menu items for the very first time.
For my first trip to the Bell, I ordered a few staples — a Burrito Supreme, a Crunchwrap Supreme, a chicken quesadilla, a Doritos Locos Tacos, and a side of guacamole and chips. I also ordered the famous Mountain Dew Baja Blast drink and picked up a few packets of mild and hot sauce.
I was impressed by the ease with which I was able to order, and everything came out on par with what I expected, or even better. The chicken quesadilla came out on top as my new favorite fast-food menu item. However, the chips and guacamole belong in the penalty box.
Here's what it was like to go to Taco Bell for the very first time.
First, I set out on my quest with a clear vision of Taco Bell in my head. The closest Taco Bell was approximately an 8-minute walk from my building, so I zipped up my puffer coat and headed out. taco bell maps Google Maps/Erin McDowell/Business Insider
When I arrived, I realized I was at a Taco Bell Cantina, which offers an expanded menu and can be found in urban locations across the country. Many of them serve alcohol, shareable appetizers, and offer a more restaurant-like experience. Erin McDowell/Business Insider Despite being at a "Cantina," I decided to stick with classic Taco Bell menu items you can order in any location. Right away, I was prompted to start ordering at one of...
Read moreThere just aren't enough Taco Bells around. That's a shame. It sure does make me instantly crave taco bell when I see one because they are so rare though. This particular taco bell location is in a bad spot. Main St. & Country Club Dr. Right on the light rail which means all types of unsavory types come gloating in out of the wood work. (This is in no way exclusive to taco bell here. The ENTIRE track-start to end, is as such) I tend to avoid business along the line personally. In my experience they are typically unfriendly if not all together abrasive. Taco Bell seems to rise above however, somehow. They still offer professional, friendly service & yet they manage to stay on top of things in their customers' interest at the same time. I witnessed one gentleman be asked to leave. The employee was firm with him yet still respectful I thought. The man had been coming in stealing customers orders before the customer could reach the counter to pick them up. On this day I was having a particularly difficult day. I needed a short reprieve from life more than I needed the meal I purchased. I was weary that I'd be scooted along as soon as I'd taken my last bite but I was not. I sat in my seat & softly cried 15-20 minutes after I had finished. I don't believe they were even counting my time there. That was nice. So...in general, I would advise anyone to just...do your best to avoid the line if possible but, if you must do business somewhere along it I'd give taco bell...
