Verily I speak unto you concerning the matter of my visit to Talo's Establishment. And it sufficeth me to say these things that may be both pleasing to the ear and offensive to the heart. I beseech thee to hear my words with an open mind and contrite spirit. That you may know of the truthfulness of my words. For it came to pass that on the 46th day of the 2019th year I traveled afar with my Sister and Brother out of the land of Superstition Springs and made our journey westward. And it came to pass that we did enter into Talo's with the intention of obtaining some nourishment. And we did notice how clean and spacious the building was. For we were the only patrons within its walls. I ordered a fish taco and a shrimp burrito with a Jamaica tea and said order was completed in a timely manner. The food I received was Hot and freshly made. They even gave unto us squeeze bottles of Hot sauce of both Red and Green proportions. This gave us the ability of a clean pour and abundance of Flavor right at our table. As I partook of the Fish Taco, I was amazed at the crispness of the crunch of the battered fish. And cool shredded cabbage and tomatoes made for a wonderful experience. It pleased me to continue on, for my only regret was that I should have ordered 2 Instead of one, For I devoured it with eager haste and as quickly as it came, it was gone. And I was hopeful for the shrimp Burrito, yet as I bit into it, I was taken back to my days of youth. And how I would fish with my friends in the dirty canal. For I have traveled across oceans and know the difference between clean and dirty seafood. And the shrimp contained within this Burrito were not of a clean source. Or perhaps they were but were cooked to a flavor that I was not in favor of. Having experienced these things, I would come back and order more fish tacos, and try other things. For I have seen the things my brother and sister had ordered and how they expressed themselves of the quality of the food. And it was Good. And we made our journey to return to our lands with much rejoicing. Jamaica Tea was good, but needs...
Read moreAnd it came to pass that I did take my journey again into the land of Mesa. Yea, and I did travel with my brother, Laman, unto the restaurant that was called Talo’s.
And when we had come upon the restaurant, we did in our hearts fear, for when we gazed into the windows thereof, we beheld no one. Yea, and my heart was troubled. For I had supposed that if this place be a good place, that many would be drawn unto it.
But we did take courage and I said unto my brother, Laman, let us go in and partake of the food thereof. That we may judge accordingly for ourselves. Whether Talo’s be a good place or a bad place. And we did enter into the restaurant.
And it does pleaseth me to write that the restaurant was clean. Yea, and it did feel unto me, like a place where both the rich and the poor could gather, and enjoy of the food thereof.
And I didst come unto the servant and did ask for fish tacos. For verily, fish tacos are very pleasing unto me.
And it came to pass that the fish tacos were delivered unto me. And I did rejoice exceedingly! For it had been prepared with much care. While it’s appearance was humble, it’s taste did make my heart swell with joy. And I did judge accordingly, that this was a good place.
And I did rehearse these thing unto my brother Laman, and he did concur that the fish tacos were good. But verily, he did speak unto me concerning the shrimp burrito. And he did say unto me that it was not a good food. Yea, and he did exhort me that I should record this. That all who read of this may know that ye should avoid the shrimp burrito.
And I bear record of these things, for they are true. And I write them that all may know of this place. And I exhort you that you should come unto this place and partake of the goodness...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to try this place out since it’s close to home. We love Mexican food so we were excited. The atmosphere was nice and clean and the layout was well thought out. While at the counter placing our order I asked if I could order chips and salsa. The girl looked at me strange and said I couldn’t because they really don’t do that??????? Um okay. I ordered the shrimp burrito that was jam packed with rice and very little shrimp. It was so spicy I was only able to handle a few bites. I tried cooling it off with my husbands mediocre guacamole but that didn’t help. I like a little heat but this was way beyond that, in my opinion there should be a spicy symbol so that folks know what to expect. My husband ordered the carne asada burrito, he said it was fine. I kindly let the girls behind the counter know my opinion and gave them back my burrito, I did not ask for a refund and they did not offer one. We will definitely be sticking to Rudy’s and Gecko Grill. Hopefully they are able to learn as time goes on so that they can...
