Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in Mesquite

08/2024 UPDATE - I am changing my review to one ⭐️. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed in this location in Mesquite Tx who I have always pumped up with friends and coworkers. I walked to the window last week, ordered my usual and bang, got my order in about 25 seconds. A young girl took my order, and a young man gave it to her as she took my app payment. I then went a couple of days later and ordered my usual and waited outside on the picnic table for about 8 minutes in the 105 degree weather. I then asked the girl how much longer it would be and she looked at the other girl at the drive thru window and said, oh, we thought it was a drive thru order when clearly she had seen me sitting outside for 7 minutes with NO other customer present. She knew I was there the entire time because the window was wide open and she kept looking at me but not giving me my drink that was at the other side in the drive thru area melting down.

DO y’all want to know the difference between my first purchase and the second? I tipped them the first time even dollars and the second time, I rounded up. When I rounded up, her face demeanor CHANGED COMPLETELY. It seems that if you don’t tip them or don’t tip them enough, they will make you wait for your drink purposely. My daughter and I have ALWAYS tipped. Unfortunately, I could not give a bigger tip this one time because payday was in a couple of days. But hey, I still bought the drink, which supports the business and provides jobs for the workers.

I CALLED THE CORPORATE OFFICE when this happened, explained myself and supposedly someone was going to call me and nothing. I had no choice but to change my review from five 🌟 to one ⭐️ The young drive thru caucasian girl didn’t even apologize to me or say thank you:( this was a horrible experience which clearly did not deserve a call back from corporate. But it’s ok, I updated my review and that matters to me. Management, y’all need to train your employees to always give good service to all customers.

Changing review because the drive thru line is always ridiculously long 20-30 minutes for coffee in a line you cannot exit makes it a stressful experience especially when the product is not made consistently because of the rush to service. Using the walk-up is an option, I timed it twice. It's about an 8-10 minute wait, but then you see how dirty it is inside. The coffee is good but the hassle is not worth patronizing!!

Dutch Bros is cool. I prefer Black Rock Coffee ☕️ but there is not one in this area, so Dutch Bros fills that gap. However the wait time is absolutely ridiculous. It should not take 20 minutes for a cup of Joe, but it does ...unless you walk up and there is more than 1 employee working. Sometimes there is only 1 employee working in the early AM when it is a high volume time. Sometimes there are more but no one outside taking orders. Sometimes there are 4-5 but it still takes a long time since no one really uses the walk up. The employees are doing their best.
