Waffle House — Restaurant in Mesquite

Let me share my husbands and I experience with this Waffle House! First, we walked in, no greeting. We sat at a booth, the 1 waiter was at the other end of the bar/counter looking on his phone. We waited for him to come and get our drink order. And waited, and waited, and waited. As you can see from my photos, the place was NOT busy. He finally came and took our drink order and by that time, we knew our food order also, so he got that also. DID NOT announce our order or get our drinks. I am a former employee of Waffle House, I know how things are suppose to be done, the routine. So, by this time, I am VERY annoyed. My husband and I are talking and I made a comment to him about the service, the cook proceeds to get into our conversation and tells me, "We are very busy, he will get to you" Talking about the waiter. This ANNOYED me even more! But, I didnt say anything. Btw, we STILL haven't gotten our drinks or our order be put in. We have been there approx. 20 minutes. Another gentleman comes in, sits at the bar and the waiter takes his order, gets his drink. I was STEAMING! I yelled at the waiter, "Excuse Me!" And, straightaway, the cook turns around and says, "He's very busy, he will get to you". I told him, " We have been sitting here at least 20 minutes with not even our drink order!" He argued with me that we weren't there that long. I asked him" Do you have our food order?" " No" he said. I told him, " That gentleman just came in and has his drink and, you have his order! " I said " We are about to walk out! " He got a smug look on his face, waved his hand and said" Bye! ". Needless to say, we left. And, will...

We were there at 1:15 waited for our booth, after seated no one came to ask what we wanted to drink. Waitress stood behind counter over on the side, not at booth asked if we knew what we wanted to eat, my husband told her we wanted our coffee served first then we would order. Waited and waited, she was doing other things and didn't bother bringing coffee, after several minutes we got up. And left, to which she rudely said have a nice day. Her whole attitude was rude from the time we sat down. They were not that busy there were 2 empty booths, and counter chairs available. We have been regular Waffle House customers for many many years. My husband did wiring on many waffle houses as an electrician. It's been our place to go for 30 yrs. However, if that is the kind of service they are offering now we will be finding a new place. There was absolutely no reason for any waitress to be rude to customers. The cook asked why we were leaving, my husband told him no service. We have eaten at waffle houses all over from FL to TX and never had service like...

Everything wasn't good at all from the staring all the way to the end , my wife and I we get there they have no knowledge to say hi welcome or something so we just went straight to a table the waitres didn't understand what overhard eggs means I ordered the all start special with overhard eggs and she keeped saying scramble eggs I told her no so she acted like she understand it after that but whenever she brought the food the egg were running eggs and I let her know about and she keep saying that's what I ordered so she took the plate to the chef and told him so I scream to the chef to help the waitres out overhard eggs but he else said I don't know what you mean with overhard eggs so I was like damn I always come to this waffle house and never had an issue before and I always use that word ( overhard eggs) and the chef always understood on every single time I had been there , there's a chef and a waitres both black persons I had a really bad experience this...
