Wienerschnitzel — Restaurant in Mesquite

The service was decent. No one was rude, and everything was correct. We’ve received all of our items, toppings and I appreciate that they over filled my fries to where they were all over the bag.

However, the food is just okay. Their prices are kind of ridiculous for what you get. My husband and I remember getting 5 of the chili dogs for around $6 some odd years ago. You pay over $3 for a tiny chili cheese dog after taxes. The wiener itself is tiny like a BAR S, maybe even smaller. You’re better off going to a gas station like QT or 7 Eleven for your hot dog wants. I understand inflation, but we paid $4 and some change for a burger the size of a McDouble from McDonald’s. The chili had no meat, and was all sauce. Even hot dog chili sauce you buy in cans at the store have SOME meat.

Their fries are good, and are a cross between McDonald’s and Whataburger. They were a perfect crisp. However, in my preference more salt was my only complaint but that’s to individual taste.

All in all, they were a lot better in the 90s and earlier 2000s when the cost actually matched what you got. At this point, I only will come back to try their desserts since they do have some interesting options, and i would maybe order a fry as a snack. Other than that,...

The employees can clearly see the entire dining area, and I know they saw me standing there. It took a good 2 minutes before the one lady greeted me. I know she saw the look of frustration on my face because it was almost as if they were purposely not looking in my direction. I wasn't in a hurry to order but just acknowledge that I'm standing there please? They were all working very busy for dinner rush, so I get it, they were preoccupied. But just the hot dog and three corn dogs we ordered took at least 8 minutes to be served. The lady actually taking my order really didn't have any personality nor did she seem interested in her job. Not a smile not a thank you, I don't really think that people like that should work as the face of a company like that. If you want your customers to come back then they need to at least feel welcome in the restaurant. We're not spending hundreds of dollars, but it's the principle. I'm not usually this picky, it was just a bit ridiculous. I think the worst part was that the man in front of me that had ordered and we're spanish-speaking seemed to get much more attention, and interaction. I guess I am the wrong ethnicity? I have been going to this location for about 6 years now and yesterday was the worst service that I ever had. I went to the drive through on September 7, 2023 at 5:32 pm ticket number 123 and the cashier was Ruby. I ordered the mustard dog combo with fires no salt because I can't have salt and a strawberry lemonade. Needless, to say when I was sitting at the window I said to Ruby those fries should be no salt and she said that is right. The young guy got all of the fries out of the warmer that I am sure that he sprinkled salt all over and put them in the fryer to refry. I said what is he doing that is unsanitary and Ruby said that he will fix it. I asked for the manager and they claimed one was not on duty and then she rudely closed the window on me. Then a young man came and I asked was he a lead and he said no, I then asked what was the young guy name that was putting the fries back in the fryer he claimed that he did not know.
