I would like to give this place a 10 on the food quality, but a 1 on the execution. The food tastes fantastic. I have had the burrito, tacos, bowls and salads with multiple combinations of chicken, steak, pork and barbacoa. The freshness combined with the taste really turns the heads of all Mexican enthusiasts. Unfortunately, no matter how good the food, staff incompetence and poor design can kill a restaurant. Good news for owner(s), their problems can be easily fixed.
Problem 1- Their staff correctly rolls burritos about 30% of the time. The other 70% is a process which involves a broken tortilla and an overall hot mess. When a light eater arrives, no problem. Unfortunately, when you ask for normal portions of almost all toppings (rice, beans, meat, sauce, sour cream, corn, guacamole, cheese), the server has a mental lapse and wraps the burrito, as if they were using scissors. Even worse, instead of re-making the burrito, they dump the, now, gelatinous mass onto another wrap, as if you wouldn't notice. Any hopes in having a layered burrito are now destroyed. This has happened to me more times than I would like to count. I understand they have a fast floor format (excuse the alliteration), but the need a contingency plan.
** Correction to problem 1... There is one guy there (with loop earrings) who takes pride in his craft. Everyone else needs to watch the training video about 30 or 40 more times.**
Problem 2- While serving food in a buffet style should be easy, they have screwed up, monumentally, in this department. They set the serving station up to where the food must pass over other food, in order to arrive to the server. For example, the steak passes over the chicken to arrive at its destination. The problem here is that the steak falls into the chicken, where it remains until served, under false pretenses. Now, while I feel like a chicken/steak combo would be tasty, it falls short of quality service. This is how it goes down the line. They drop white rice in the brown rice. They mix the beans. They drop steak in the chicken. They drop corn in the sour cream. They mix the sauces. Its a mess. Any worse and it would be Golden Corral.
Problem 3- Stale chips. Fix it.
Problem 4- They have done a true disservice to all guacamole lovers. While they have cornered a great guac recipe, the problem here is that they mix the old guac with the new guac. I saw this a couple days ago, when the employees dumped bright green guac on older dark green guac. It is a true shame to all guac connoisseurs. Viva la guac...

Read moreI was standing in line about 10 deep and was watching the workers shaking their heads when someone was asking for items to put in their meals. White rice and shredded cheese.. I was like, walk 5 ft and grab some for the line. As I got closer to order, it was still the same. So the guy asked what I wanted, and I said bowl to go..he said I have no white rice .. I asked what other items you guys do not have? He said he only works this spot, and maybe shredded cheese was out. I informed him it was 5 feet away, and all they have to do is go grab it..the young lady said her manager said not to. I asked to speak to the manager as I continued to make my bowl. She walked over to and asked if she could help. I said I wanted shredded cheese, and she said we were out. I said you have it over there on the To-go orders. She said we can't do that because we can't tell the customers that we are out of something..I said maam yes you can I have ordered many times and this place is always out of something and other managers can put it online. So I said are you telling me a paying customer in front of is is less important than an online order..? She replied..yes..I paused for a sec..are you seriously telling me they are more important than I am..She stepped back on her words..no sir I just can't take it from the to go orders..I said that is not good business and I will be reporting this ..long time customer..last time I will be in this location.. I will drive to the new one on vets before I come here again..not a...
Read moreURGENT!! DONT GO HERE!! DONT GO HERE!!! I love Chipolte, every time I come here it’s unsatisfactory… This was my last time, I feel like whoever the manager is needs to be aware of the things they serve… They had NO VEGGIES, they were giving the scraps of the chicken they had left when I asked can I have fresh chicken I was told they aren’t putting it out yet.. I barely had any meat on my burrito, because they had none to give!!! This food is way too pricey to be looking like this.. The girl who wrapped this did terrible, she knew it looked like this and still gave it to us…I’m so mad!! When we asked can they put out more veggies the guy just was like no, that’s all they have. Like huh? All the toppings was cross contaminated with other stuff.. We had to go home and try to re do both our burritos, it was terrible we didn’t even get that much on it!!! Count your days Chipolte.. I will never go back to this one, it’s always an issue every single time, for example the chips that are always STALE, I don’t even get them anymore I just buy my own tortilla chips. I love Chipolte but this one is terrible.. The management doesn’t even care. Something needs to be done. SAD!! $30 for...
