Disappointed to say the least. I was here on business and decided to try something new. I came here from out of town feeling very excited to take my mother and the manager was extremely rude, confrontational, and ultimately ruined my experience.
I came in approximately 15 minutes prior to a man with his wife and children. I waited for a table and even went out of the line when this man arrived so he could order ahead of me because he has children. As he was ordering, the table I was waiting for became available so I had my mom sit down. She is older and can’t stand for long. The girls who were sitting there prior also knew I was waiting and had came to get me saying their table was now available, since I’ve been waiting. The man sent his daughter to take the table as my mom was walking there. I explained I waited for the table (I even let him go ahead of me in line) and that I was here 15 minutes before him. He said “oh I didn’t know, if you were here before me it’s fine.”
BUT then he went to the manager to complain and the manager went up to my mother saying it was his table and that he paid before us. He paid before because I LET him go ahead of me. Did the manager bother to ask? Instead, he went out of his way to speak to my mother on how she took “his” table. As an adult, the immaturity and unprofessionalism is beyond me. He then continued to stare at us as we ate and went up to the man who served our food to talk about us, prior to our food being served, which made us feel even worse as you could see the server and the manager looking at us as they both spoke.
This is no way to treat a customer and had I have not let the family ahead of me in line none of this would have happened. Going forward, I will not be recommending this to my colleagues or friends in...

Listen, if you’ve ever wanted to experience guilt-free financial ruin via coffee, Crema Gourmet is your place. I walked in for a “quick bite” and walked out with a maxed-out credit card and a renewed sense of purpose. 💳🕊️
The Vibe: Ah yes, the classic "I’m working on my screenplay but actually just refreshing Instagram" aesthetic. 📱💻 Everyone’s either an influencer, a tech CEO, or pretending to be both. I fit right in with my $14 toast and existential crisis. 🥑📉
The Coffee: The iced vanilla oat milk latte slapped so hard it practically filed taxes for me. ☕🥊 Was it overpriced? Of course. Did I drink it like it contained the secrets of eternal youth? Also yes. 💁♀️🧴
The Food: The avocado toast came with exactly the right number of chia seeds to let you know this place is serious about brunch. 🥑✨ Croissants flakier than my ex. 🥐💔 Eggs? Poached to perfection and clearly have a better life than I do. 🍳🏖️
The Staff: Baristas with the patience of saints and cheekbones that could cut glass. 😇💁♂️ They called my name like it was a sacred chant summoning me to caffeinated nirvana. 🙌☕🔔
Final Thoughts: Crema Gourmet is where you go when you want to treat yourself like you’re rich, famous, and possibly allergic to mediocrity. 😎👑
10/10 would recommend — even if you have to take out a small...
Read moreProblematic and concerning experience on Saturday with the staff member taking the orders around 10.30am. It was busy. And the line cue was disorganized. Nevertheless, my friend and I waited in line to order. She was ahead of me in line and asked for a table / how long of a wait. The employee at the cash register said there were no tables available. They did not provide an explanation, or an opportunity to wait. They just repeated themselves. We paid separately, so when it was my turn I didn't bother asking for a table because I overheard what the employee said. I figured they were giving the waitstaff a reprieve. I stepped aside and waited for my "to go" order. As I waited, I overheard the same employee tell the people directly behind me that they had tables available. Everyone before and after us seemed to have the opportunity to get service at a table. When I noticed my friend was obviously treated differently from the other patrons, I was stunned. Rude or racist, it's hard to say? But the experience at Crema Gourmet Espresso Bar - Collins Ave certainly left us wondering. We ended up finding a table in the courtyard and sat without a problem. But the entire time, I couldn't help but wonder if we were going to be asked to leave. I regret not reading a previous reviewer's comments regarding a...
