Read moreTo be honest, the beach itself isin't so spectacular as everyone makes it out to be. I've been to several beaches in Florida and Miami just did not impress me. Yes, there are a lot of hotels along the beach and a lot of people, but the beach itself is average. The sand is not really as clean as other beaches in Florida (Siesta Key, Destin, etc.), but that's of course because Miami is located on the Atlantic coast instead of the Gulf of Mexico coast.
