Tierra Santa I was looking in Miami for the best spa experience. I was looking for a day of pampering. As such, I wanted additional benefits and not just a massage. This spa ended up topping my comparison list. Scheduling an appointment was slightly problematic. I spent entirely too much time on their site attempting to make a reservation for two. The site was not working. I ended up calling the spa to schedule over the phone. However, there was no answer so I had to leave a message requesting a return call. A staff did call me back late the next day. I was able to schedule over the phone. I was advised to complete the forms prior to arrival date- which I did do The spa is located inside of the Faena Hotel. The hotel is on the corner and is easy to find. The spa will validate valet parking for $35. We parked about a block away for much less. However, parking price value would be based on how long you plan on being at the spa. It may be more cost effective to pay the $35. When we arrived a hotel staff assisted us by escorting us to the elevator to the spa level. There was a lady at the front desk when we arrived. It did take her a few moments to acknowledge us, and when she did she asked us to give her a few minutes. Another staff approached and asked if we had been assisted. The staff sitting at the front desk did ask her to help us. We advised we had appointments. She checked us in and walked us over to the waiting area. The waiting area is very bright and doubles as a store. We were served tea and allowed to relax and take pictures. This area also had access to the outside patio also available for lounging durring your spa day. Following the waiting area the staff walked us to the women's fitting room. She gave us a quick tutorial on how to utilize the lockers. We changed into our swimsuits to get ready to enjoy the wet area. The wet area is on the opposite side of the spa. You have to walk through the waiting area and the front desk. When you walk in you are greeted by a table full of fresh soap. You are encouraged to grab a piece to try. The following are available in the wet area: a waterfall shower, steam room, a haman, a sauna, and a cold room. NOTE: this area is co-Ed. Based on my observation it's best to schedule an early service so that you can enjoy the benefits with a limited crowd. You also access the area for your spa services directly from the wet area. There is a lounge area where you can enjoy tea, infused water and snacks such as dried fruit, fresh strawberries, and chocolate covered almonds to name a few. I opted to take a quick shower prior to my 60 minute massage. My skin was feeling dry from the over load on water, and heat. We arrived to the lounge about 5-10 minutes prior to our scheduled spa time. Shane came into the lounge and advised he would be my massage therapist. When we walked into my private room he advised I could have a seat on a purple chair. He went over the paper work I competed on line. He repeated to me what I indicated as it relates to areas to focus on, areas to avoid and pressure I desired. After confirming everything he asked me what oil I would be interested in for aroma therapy. I opted for lavender after smelling all of them. Shane gave me some privacy to undress to my comfort level and advised I should start out laying face down. When Shane came back into the room he got to work immediately. This massage was PERFECT! Shane ensured the pressure was what I desired, and he focused on all the places I need to be worked on. He did some moves I have never felt before and I was so impressed. I was so disappointed when the 60 minutes were up. This experience exceeded my expectations!

Overall it was a nice experience. We book the art of love package which is basically a 6 hour experience in a private suite. It’s starts with a scrub which was lovely. Then you shower off in the private shower.. and then you get a two hr long massage. My partner said her therapist was great but not very fluid in her movements. Mine on the other hand was okay.. but I just felt like it was very rushed. Then when our massages were done we were told we had 30 minutes to eat a 3 course lunch (included in packages ) and also bathe (also a service). They were rushing us to get our next service which was the facial. We asked for more time bc there was just no way we could make that all happen and not feel completely rush. But they did accommodate. For the price we paid it didn’t feel good. Flo did my facial and omg she was ammmaaazzzinngg. I’m an aesthetician myself and I never relax, let alone fall asleep like I did with her magic touch. I would go back but it would just to be able to get another facial by flo. ㅤᵕ̈

Tierra Santa Healing House is a small charming spa at the Faena with an interesting selection of treatments including energy cleansing. Your eyes are covered for the cleansing and you can’t see exactly what your therapist is doing for an hour, but hopefully my energy is cleaner now lol! Also had a massage and facial. The massage was excellent, the facial was all serums and masks—no extractions or exfoliation—which I would have preferred. I did not spend much time in the wet spa area or hammam, but they were beautiful. The spa also sells souvenirs, sundries, skin care products, and essential oils. The staff throughout was polite and professional. Overall a nice escape for a relaxing day off.

Honestly disappointed I saw wonderful pictures and decent reviews and was expecting a high quality spa but for the almost 600$ dollars I paid I had all of two things to do with limited snacks or activities. The ice room was about as cold as a regular room with air conditioning which was unfortunate. The tepid rock that adjusts to your temperature did not really seem to do much adjusting but perhaps that was just me. The haman room was about the only thing to use and it was lovely but after that there is nothing else really. The message was lovely as well can’t complain a bit more pressure than I requested but overall very good customer service by the therapist. However for it costing almost 300$ I could have literally gotten the same for 50 dollars at my local spa (I’m aware I chose to receive it here but there are certain things that come to mind with a 300$ massage). There was also a 10$ up charge because my aesthetician neglected to mention during her detailed explanation of the difference of the two facial lines she offered me as part of the service that the one she would strongly recommend came with an extra cost. Unfortunately I assumed it was all already part of the 185$ facial I was already paying for due to requiring sensitive skin products. Mind you the facial also did not include any extractions which I specifically advised Alex when booking the appointment I was interested in extractions and she assured me this facial specifically included extractions and was the facial people chose when requesting those services . When brought up to my aesthetician she advised me that it was not done because it would be bad for the skin cells. I can honestly say that this is the first time I’ve been ever told that when requesting extractions also the first time I’ve paid for an extractions massage and left without extractions but perhaps I’m ignorant in that aspect. All in all the facial was relaxing to a degree I just wish I had been aware of these things prior to being serviced. All these concerns where addressed with the spa when I had to pay as I’m not the person to back out once I’ve already invested peoples time and resources however the 20% tip it also included could have been optional in this scenario. The spa staff remained oddly quiet and just prompted me to pay regardless which was very charming .Moving forward I would strongly recommend everyone to ask for all price included and get services more cost effective to the experience...

I was really looking forward to enjoying my birthday at the spa and beach but this experience was very disappointing. As a returning guest, I had high expectations of the overall day I spent here. But I was very let down, from beginning to end.

I recently celebrated my birthday at the esteemed spa. I felt compelled to provide some feedback on my experience, in the hope that it may help improve the quality of your services.

To begin with, I was excited to treat myself to a spa day as a birthday gift to myself. However, the experience I had did not meet my expectations, and I left feeling rather disappointed. There were several aspects of my visit that I would like to address:

The massage I received was far from the relaxing and rejuvenating experience I had anticipated. The therapist provided a medium/strong pressure as so asked for but his technique was not delivering me any satisfaction. Nor did he focus on the 3 areas I had specifically asked to focus on. I felt like there was a skill lacked that should be required for a satisfactory massage. The pressure was inconsistent, and it did not align with the description of the treatment I had chosen. He went had on areas I did not ask to focus on and much lighter on the areas I asked to prioritize. Although I asked for certain property areas, every part got minimal attention.

As for the steam room, the spa claims to offer a delightful jasmine aroma but it spelled like a bottle of old oil. No floral hints whatsoever. Which was some thing I was very much looking forward to. It didn't provide the serene escape that I was hoping for on my special day. There was also a lot of loud noises of conversation going on from people walking around the wet spa area.

The staff at the spa seemed disinterested and not very welcoming. It's essential for guests to feel valued and attended to, especially when they are looking to celebrate a special occasion.

The service was also very mediocre coming from the beach area. I was ignored entirely and the server had an attitude.

It was a shame for me to be so excited to spend another birthday here, but I can assure I will not...
