Dolce Vita Gelati — Restaurant in Miami Beach

I had a very disappointing experience at this place and felt they were taking advantage of people.

I came alone and ordered 2 scoops of gelato. Obviously, I needed just one cup with 2 scoops, which is $11. For some reason, the guy gave me 2 separate cups with 1 scoop in each. Later he tried to charge me $9 for each. Really? 😅 If it were a tourist, they probably wouldn’t have noticed a small detail like this or questioned the price. But I’m a local, and I know how businesses in Miami sometimes take advantage of tourists like that.

I tried to find an excuse, the guy might have been tired after a long day and made a mistake… However, when I pointed out that I would only pay $11 as stated, he didn’t apologize. Instead, he was sarcastic, making me feel like I was the one trying to cheat him 👍

In the end, I paid $14.35 with all the taxes and fees from the restaurant. The place is nice, and the dessert is tasty, but for people just walking in from the street, these extra fees seem unreasonable—especially with terrible service.

Even though the gelato was delicious, I’m leaving 1 star. Everyone makes mistakes, but instead of blaming the customer, you should apologize and handle it...
