Freez-Freez | Sundae Bar — Restaurant in Miami Lakes

I was really looking forward to checking out the new ice cream shop that has taken over the ever-changing spot where Ben and Jerry's used to be. However, I found the selection to be quite limited, with only one ice cream flavor base available, and the overall concept lacks any distinct identity. Unfortunately, it feels like this place might just become another short-lived venture in our lovely town.

On the bright side, the ice cream they offer, although limited to just one flavor, is enjoyable. They mentioned having an acai base as well, which I didn’t try, but it seems they might be trying to compete with their neighbors in a one-to-one flavor battle. Personally, I think the neighbors have the edge.

This shop offers only soft serve ice cream, and while the flavor is good, it seems to rely on a powdered base, which affects the mouthfeel and aftertaste. That said, the product itself is still tasty.

I had a fantastic experience at Freez-Freez. The flavors were excellent, a perfect blend of rich and creamy, with a variety of options that cater to all tastes. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made the visit even more enjoyable. The atmosphere of the shop was really pleasant and welcoming.

However, I did hesitate a bit before entering, as we were walking through the plaza via Sports Grill, and the tobacco smoke in the area was quite overwhelming for both me and my child. It made it a little uncomfortable, and I think the shop would be even more enjoyable if they could address this issue, perhaps by improving the ventilation or considering a smoke-free policy near the entrance.

That said, once we were inside, the experience was wonderful, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more...

We love to visit new places and this one is one of the places that once you come, you want to come back! We were surprised with the variety of flavors! 3 bases to choose from and more than 15 toppings to elevate the flavors ❤️ The service is outstanding and they have a welcome smile since the beginning 😃 They also offer activities for your kids ti enjoy and a magic show that you will not forget.
