I am a first time customer that usually orders online only due to it's ease of use. Online ordering is a bit buggy online and was unable to place a order on my iPhone 11 Pro. It continued to spit an error.
So I take myself to walk inside and order from there. It was anarchy. As a line cook myself, I can understand the feeling of drowning under the intense pressure of orders mounting. Upon entering, it was unclear to numerous customers to wait in line or stand and wait at the tables. I ask a client on that status of their food, and they were visibly annoyed, they exclaimed they are still waiting on it for their food for a long time now. I have been there for 15 minutes and nothing changed. The poor employee was alone. This employee didn't have time to greet anyone or inform anyone about anything. It was unclear to me, and the two other customers whom entered along with me on how long it'll take to even place a order. Another employee could be heard in the backrooms. I felt bad ordering. And wait times were crazy with no end in sight. I left and ate somewhere else.
One last note, I entered at around 3:00PM on a Tuesday. If this business can't handle a non-peak hour, I could only imagine working during lunch and dinner times on a weekend.
Takeaways: -Online ordering on a iPhone 11 Pro was buggy. Could be a temporary issue as others expressed it working for them. -Wait times are ridiculous. -Appears understaffed and should either go online only or cut in person ordering.
If you must order from this place. Take an online order and expect it to take twice the time as a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEdit to update: I'm updating based on the owners response. When you say none of your bowls come with just an oatmeal base, that's not true. I get it 3x a week. It's the build your bowl option and I get oatmeal, cinnamon granola, green apple and caramel. That's it. When ordering on doordash, you used to be able to add special instructions and I would always put, no acai. Now, you don't allow special instructions anymore so I can't. When someone chooses the build a bowl and chooses the ingredients, that's what should go in the bowl. Nothing more, nothing less. Or allow special instructions again! Bottom line, what I received was not what I ordered and it looked terrible. Thankfully, Doordash refunded my order in full.
Honestly, it depends on who is working. I order the same bowl all the time. Most times, it's great, but when there is a lazy worker there, they clearly don't read the instructions. They throw together whatever they want; the bowl doesn't have the right ingredients and looks awful. The bowl I got today looks like slop. I asked for an oatmeal base, but instead, they put acai, which I hate! How hard is it to read the ingredients and put the right ones...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreItās pretty frustrating when you walk into a place and no one acknowledges your presence. Went to Frutta bowl today to grab lunch. I work at Austin Landing so it is super convenient. Lunch is typically busy down there, but at 1pm I assumed it wouldnāt be too bad maybe a 15 min wait. When I walked in, there were a handful of people waiting for food, no one in line. I walked to the counter and waited for one of the three people making food behind the counter to take my order. I waited, and waited, and waited. After a little over 5 mins of no one taking my order or even making eye contact with me I walked out. On my out one of the people waiting on food looked at me and said, your smart to leave this is ridiculous. I donāt blame any of the kids working there as I am sure they are overwhelmed. Clearly the place is doing well as they are very busy, but something with your service model should probably change. Maybe a manager on duty, maybe more staff during busy times or maybe just someone saying when you walk in the door, weāre really sorry but we are really behind and it will be at least a 20 to...
